Highly efficient high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump in vertical design with in-line connections, IE4-Level-IEC motor and integrated, air-cooled frequency converter. The integrated frequency converter enables variable speed, pressure and PID control.

Control modes

  • "Speed control" : Manually with green button or via external signals
  • Constant or variable pressure: Pressure control with sensor, setpoint adjustment with green button or by means of external signals
  • PID control: other constant control variables (temperature, volume flow, pressure....) with sensor, setpoint adjustment with green button, by means of external signals

The electronic module provides various protective functions. They include overload protection, the detection of low water, mains undervoltage or overvoltage, high ambient temperature, missing phases, blocked pumps and short-circuits. Error messages are issued on the display.

Input:

  • In1: Input sensor signal 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, 0-20 mA or 2-10 V
  • In2: Input setpoint 0-20 mA, 0-10 V, 4-20 mA or 2-10 V

Output:

  • + 24 V voltage output with max. contact strength of 50 mA
  • Potential-free collective fault and run signals
  • External On/Off mode. IR communication
  • Plug-in position for Wilo IF-Modules Modbus, BACnet, CAN, PLR, LON for connection to the building automation

The pump shaft and the motor shaft of the motor are connected by means of a clamp coupling. A separate lantern roller bearing ensures optimum admission of axial thrusts. Special, permanently attached lifting eyes enable easy pump installation.

The pump is suitable for water supply, water distribution and pressure boosting, industrial recirculation systems, process water and closed cooling circuits. It can also be used in washing systems as well as for irrigation.

Design notes

  • The Helix VE series is equipped with a user-friendly mechanical seal (X seal) in cartridge design and a standard gasket.
  • For pump versions PN16 and PN25, round counter flanges in cast iron or stainless steel, screws, nuts and gaskets are available as accessories
  • The spacer coupling makes it possible to quickly and easily exchange the mechanical seal without removing the motor (motors starting from 5.5 kW).

For perfect functioning of the pump(s) / system(s), it is recommended to have the commissioning carried out by the works' own WILO SE Customer Service Department. Optimum setting and efficient operation of the system are ensured as a result. Commissioning is comprised of the following points:

  • Commissioning of system(s) according to checklist
  • Parameterisation and setting of switchgear
  • Testing and adaptation of initial compressing of pressure tanks (filling up to 80 litres incl.)
  • Functional check of fitted system(s)
  • Practice-oriented operation instruction
  • Wilo commissioning protocol

The price for commissioning only applies to system(s) which have been installed in accordance with the installation and operating instructions and state-of-the-art technology. No costs for any materials which may be required are included.
