Description/construction

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible dry matter content is 8%, depending on the hydraulics and impeller type.

The following impeller shapes are used:

  • Vortex impeller (W)
  • Single-channel impeller (E)

Depending on type, single-channel hydraulic systems can be equipped with an impeller wear ring and/or a casing wear ring made of hardened material. These contribute long-term to ensuring the uniform efficiency of the unit.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors (T motors) give off their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing components and can be used in immersed state for continuous duty.

A sealing chamber protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can be monitored with an optionally sealing chamber electrode.

All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The cable inlet on dry motors is longitudinally watertight, cable lengths can be individually configured.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals
  • Version K: Block seal cartridge with two independently acting mechanical seals

Description/construction

Submersible pump with ACS approval for vertical or horizontal installation.

Hydraulics

Multistage submersible-motor pump with 4" NEMA connection and radial or semi-axial impellers with sectional construction. Integrated non-return valve. All parts that come in contact with the fluid are made of corrosion-free materials.

Motor

Corrosion-free single-phase or three-phase motor for direct starting. Sealed and hermetically cast motor, resin-impregnated, with enamel-insulated winding, self-lubricating bearing, with water-glycol filling.

Cooling

The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The motor must always be immersed when operated. The limit values for maximum fluid temperature and minimum flow velocity must be adhered to. Vertical installation is possible with or without cooling jacket. Horizontal installation must be performed in conjunction with a cooling jacket.

Pressure shroud

The pressure shroud is used for the direct installation of the unit in the pipe system. Standard models are without mounted non-return valves. The maximum inlet pressure is 10 bar.

Description/construction

Axial submersible pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary wet installation

Hydraulics

The angle of the propeller/impeller blades can be adjusted by hand. This makes it possible to adapt the unit to use in different conditions.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors (T motors) give off their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing components and can be used in immersed state for continuous duty.

A sealing chamber protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can be monitored with an optionally sealing chamber electrode.

All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The cable inlet of the T motors is longitudinally watertight. Cable lengths can be individually configured.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals
  • Version K: Block seal cartridge with two independently acting mechanical seals

Description/construction

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well and dry well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible amount of dry matter is 8 %. Vortex impellers are used.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors (T motor) do not have a cooling system of their own and emit their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing parts. The motors can therefore be used in immersed state for continuous duty. Depending on their size, they can also be used in non-immersed state for short-time duty.

The self-cooling motors (FK, FKT, HC motors) have an active cooling system and transfer their waste heat to the medium being pumped by means of an integrated heat exchanger. Therefore, these motors are suitable for continuous duty in immersed and non-immersed condition, and therefore also for dry well installation.

All motors have a sealing chamber that protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can optionally be monitored with a rod electrode. All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The connection cable has bare cable ends and the length is customer specific. The cable inlet on T, HC and FKT motors is longitudinally watertight.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals
  • Version K: Block seal cartridge with two independently acting mechanical seals

High efficiency motors

In addition to the standard motors, high-efficiency motors with IE3 classification (in accordance with IEC 60034-30) are also available. As these have the same basis as the standard motors, they have the same features and functions. This means that the same hydraulic systems are also available.

Ex rating

The motors are available with Ex rating in accordance with ATEX and FM.

The Wilo-Varios PICO-STG is the universal replacement solution in the heating, air conditioning and cooling sector for residential dwellings, as well as for solar and geothermal installations. Motor

Corrosion-free three-phase AC motor for direct starting. Sealed and hermetically cast motor with enamel-insulated winding, resin-impregnated, self-lubricating bearing, with water-glycol filling.

Cooling

The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The motor must always be immersed when operated. The limit values for maximum fluid temperature and minimum flow velocity must be adhered to. Vertical installation is possible with or without cooling jacket. Horizontal installation must be performed in conjunction with a cooling jacket.

Description/construction

Submersible pump for vertical or horizontal installation.

Hydraulics

Multistage submersible motor pump with NEMA (6" and 8") or standard connection (10") with radial or semi-axial impellers with sectional construction. Integrated non-return valve. All parts that come in contact with the fluid are made of corrosion-free materials.

Motor

Rewindable three-phase AC motor with PVC-isolated winding and a water-glycol filling for direct startup. Hydraulic connection as NEMA (6" and 8") or standard connection (10"). Sealing of motor shaft with a mechanical seal made of carbon/ceramic material. Self-lubricating motor bearing. Thrust bearing with rockers for absorption of high axial thrust. Negative axial thrust is absorbed by the rotating seal bearing.

Cooling

The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The motor must always be immersed when operated. The limit values for maximum fluid temperature and minimum flow velocity must be adhered to. Vertical installation is possible with or without cooling jacket. Horizontal installation must be performed in conjunction with a cooling jacket.

Motor

Three-phase motor for direct or star-delta start. Sealed, hermetically cast motor, resin-impregnated, with enamel-insulated winding or rewindable motor with PVC-insulated winding, self-lubricating bearing, with water-glycol filling. NU 611, NU 8...-series motors can also be filled with drinking water (T version).

Cooling

The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The motor must always be immersed when operated. The limit values for maximum fluid temperature and minimum flow velocity must be adhered to. Vertical installation is possible with or without cooling jacket. Horizontal installation must be performed in conjunction with a cooling jacket.

Pressure shroud

The pressure shroud is used for the direct installation of the unit in the pipe system. Standard models are without mounted non-return valves. The maximum inlet pressure is 10 bar.

Twin-head pump function

  • Main/standby mode (automatic fault-actuated switchover/time-dependent pump cycling). If the twin-head pump is to be operated in main/standby operation, the control mode and the delivery head or speed stage C1, C2, C3 must be set so they are identical.

Description/construction

Submersible pump for stationary and portable wet-well installation in fully automatic mode with attached float switch.

Hydraulics

The pumps are equipped with an open multi-vane impeller and have a free ball passage of 10 mm (TM/TMW) or 2 mm (TMR). The pressure connection is a vertical hose connection (TM) or threaded connection (TMW/TMR).

Motor

Sheath flow-cooled single-phase AC motor with integrated operating capacitor. The motor heat is transferred directly to the fluid via the motor housing.

The motor is equipped with automatic thermal motor monitoring. This means that the motor is switched off if it overheats and will be automatically switched on again once it has cooled down.

Seal

The seal is created on the fluid side by a mechanical seal, and on the motor side by a rotary shaft seal. A sealing chamber with a white-oil filling is located between the gaskets.

Cable

The pump is equipped with a 4 or 10 m long connection cable with a shockproof plug and a fitted float switch (not TM 32/8-10M).

Versions:

  • Drain TMW with twister function - The twister function guarantees permanent turbulence within the pump's intake area. This prevents settling sediment from sinking and settling. This results in a clean pump sump and reduces the build-up of odours
  • Drain TMR with flat suction - The special strainer enables the fluid to be pumped out to a remaining level of 2 mm.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as DN 80 or DN 100 horizontal flange connections. Single-channel impellers are used as the impeller shape.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors are standard-equipped with clogging-free sheath current cooling. This ensures that heat is given off directly to the fluid. As a result, these units can be operated in immersed and non-immersed state for permanent or intermittent operation.

In addition, the motor is equipped with a leakage detection unit and a thermal motor monitoring unit. A sealing chamber protects the motor from fluid ingress. The filling fluid used is potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The cable lead-in is longitudinally watertight, the standard cable length is 10 m.

Seal

Sealing on the fluid side and on the pump side is achieved by two bidirectional mechanical seals.

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well and dry well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible dry matter content is 8 %, depending on the hydraulics and impeller type. The following impeller shapes are used:

  • Vortex impeller (W)
  • Single-channel impeller (E)
  • Two-channel impeller (Z)
  • Three-channel impeller (D)
  • Four-channel impeller (V)

The sewer hydraulics are equipped with an impeller wear ring and casing wear ring made of hardened material. These contribute long-term to ensuring the uniform efficiency of the unit and minimizing maintenance costs.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors (T motor) do not have a cooling system of their own and emit their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing parts. The motors can therefore be used in immersed state for continuous duty. Depending on their size, they can also be used in non-immersed state for short-time duty.

The self-cooling motors (FK, FKT, HC motors) have an active cooling system and transfer their waste heat to the medium being pumped by means of an integrated heat exchanger. Therefore, these motors are suitable for continuous duty in immersed and non-immersed condition, and therefore also for dry well installation.

All motors have a sealing chamber that protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can optionally be monitored with a rod electrode. All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The connection cable has bare cable ends and a length of 10 m or a customer-specific length. The cable inlet on T, HC and FKT motors is longitudinally watertight.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals
  • Version K: Block seal cartridge with two independently acting mechanical seals

High efficiency motors

In addition to the standard motors, high-efficiency motors with IE3 classification (in accordance with IEC 60034-30) are also available. As these have the same basis as the standard motors, they have the same features and functions. This means that the same hydraulic systems are also available.

Ex rating

The motors are available with Ex rating in accordance with ATEX and FM.

Thanks to its LED display, it gives you complete transparency regarding the delivery head, speed stage or any possible faults. Description/construction

Submersible pump for stationary and portable wet-well installation in fully automatic mode with attached float switch.

Hydraulics

The pumps are equipped with an open multi-channel impeller and have a 10 mm free ball passage. The pressure connection is a vertical threaded connection.

Motor

Single-phase AC motor with integrated operating capacitor. The motor heat is transferred directly to the fluid via the motor housing.

The motor is equipped with automatically switching thermal motor monitoring. This means that the motor is switched off if it overheats and is automatically switched on again once it has cooled down.

Seal

The seal is created on the fluid side by a mechanical seal, and on the motor side by a rotary shaft seal. A sealing chamber with a white-oil filling is located between the gaskets.

Cable

The pump is equipped with a 10 m connection cable with a shockproof plug and an attached float switch.

Versions:

  • Drain TSW with twister function – The twister function guarantees constant turbulence in the pump's suction area. This prevents sediment from settling, This results in a clean pump sump and reduces the build-up of odours

Description/construction

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as vertical threaded connection Rp 1½. Vortex impeller are used as the impeller shapes.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors give off their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing components and can be used in immersed state for permanent or intermittent periodic duty.

A sealing chamber protects the motor from fluid ingress. The filling fluid used is potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The single-phase AC motors are equipped with shockproof plugs, and ‘A versions’ with float switches. The three-phase motors are equipped with bare cable ends.

Seal

Sealing on the fluid side is achieved by a bidirectional mechanical seal, while sealing on the motor side is achieved by a rotary shaft seal.

Description/construction

Submersible pump for vertical or horizontal installation.

Hydraulics

Multistage submersible pump with radial impellers with sectional construction. Integrated non-return valve. All parts in contact with the fluid are made of corrosion-free materials.

Motor

Corrosion-free asynchronous motor for connection to the frequency converter supplied (HS-E…) or for direct connection to the mains power supply (HS-I…). Rewindable oil-filled motor with self-lubricating bearings, designed for high speeds up to 8400 rpm.

Frequency converter

External frequency converter or frequency converter integrated within the motor, for operation of the pump at speeds up to 8400 rpm, including the following functions:

  • Soft starter
  • Undervoltage, overvoltage and short-circuit protection
  • Thermal overload protection of the motor and the frequency converter

The version "HS-E…“ with external frequency converter offers the following additional equipment features:

  • Control function "CP“: Constant pressure
  • Avoidance of frequent switching (cycling) by leakage monitoring
  • Dry-running protection with automatic reset
  • Change of direction of rotation
  • Setting for max. flow and set pressure
  • Pressure is shown on the display
  • Settings, operating statuses and error messages are shown by LEDs or on the display.

The frequency converter always must be installed outside the fluid where it will be protected against overflows!

Control function "CP“: Constant pressure

Operation with the frequency converter means the rotation speed of the unit is adapted to the current water requirements automatically. As a result, the submersible pump always delivers a constant pressure.

Cooling

The motor is cooled by the fluid. The motor must always be operated in submerged state. The limit values for the max. fluid temperature and the minimum flow rate must not be exceeded.

In cases of vertical installation, a cooling jacket must be provided depending on the diameter of the bore. In cases of horizontal installation, a cooling jacket must always be provided .

The external frequency converter is also cooled by the fluid. For this the frequency converter must be installed directly in the piping outside the fluid (overflow-proof).

Description/construction

Submersible drainage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as a vertical threaded connection Rp 1½ with an integrated non-return valve. Semi-open channel impellers are the impeller type used.

Motor

Single-phase or three-phase current version surface-cooled motors with thermal motor monitoring. In the single-phase version, motor monitoring switches automatically. The waste heat is given off directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing components. As a result, these units must always be immersed for permanent or intermittent operation.

A sealing chamber protects the motor from fluid ingress. The filling fluid used is potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The detachable connection cable has a length of 10 metres and has bare cable ends. A version is equipped with a float switch and plug.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is performed by bidirectional mechanical seals.

Description/construction

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible dry matter content is 8 %, depending on the hydraulics and impeller type. The following impeller shapes are currently used:

  • Vortex impeller (W)
  • Single-channel impeller (E)

Each single-channel hydraulic system is equipped with an impeller wear ring and casing wear ring made of hardened material. These ensure long-term uniform efficiency of the unit and minimize maintenance costs.

Motor

Surface-cooled motors (T motor) do not have a cooling system of their own and emit their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing parts. The motors can therefore be used in immersed state for continuous duty. Depending on their size, they can also be used in non-immersed state for short-time duty.

All motors have a sealing chamber that protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can optionally be monitored with a rod electrode. All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The cable inlet is longitudinally watertight, the cable length is 10 m and the cable has free ends.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals

Ex rating

The motors have ex-approvals according to the ATEX directive.

Vertical pedestal-type centrifugal pump equipped with a float switch for stationary installation.

Single-stage hydraulics with semi-open, multi-channel impeller and horizontal pressure port. An inlet filter is integrated into the suction area of the hydraulics. Drive is provided by a standard motor. Hydraulics and motor are rigidly connected via the pump shaft (in the shaft protection pipe). The pump shaft is located by a plain bearing and the plain bearing is lubricated by the fluid.

A float switch is fitted for automatic operation. Switching points can be set using stops.

Description/construction

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well and dry well installation. Portable installation is possible, depending on type.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible dry matter is 8 %. “SOLID” impellers are used as the impeller form:

  • T impeller: closed SOLID impeller for very smooth operation and high efficiencies. The hydraulic units are equipped with an impeller wear ring and casing wear ring. These can be readily replaced and contribute to ensuring the long-term, uniform efficiency of the unit.
  • G impeller: half-open SOLID impeller for high non-susceptibility to clogging and good efficiencies in comparison with conventional vortex impellers. The gap between suction port and impeller can be readjusted later. This ensures uniform hydraulic efficiency.

Motor

Submersible motors with passive and active cooling are used for the drive:

  • T motors (surface-cooled motors) have passive cooling. They emit their heat directly into the surrounding fluid via the housing parts. For this reason, these motors can operated immersed in continuous duty (S1), depending on performance, and non-immersed in short-time duty (S2).
  • FK, FKT and HC motors are self-cooling and have an active cooling system. The waste heat is guided via the coolant (white oil or water-glycol mixture) to an integrated heat exchanger, and this releases the waste heat to the conveyed medium. As a result, these motors are suitable for continuous duty (S1) either in immersed or non-immersed state.

All motors have a sealing chamber that protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can be monitored with an optionally sealing chamber electrode. All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

In addition, depending on performance, high-efficiency motors with the IE3 efficiency class (in accordance with IEC 60034-30) are also available. These motors are marked with the extension “E3” in the type code.

The cable inlet on the motors is longitudinally watertight, cable lengths can be individually configured.

Seal

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
  • Version G: Two independently-acting mechanical seals
  • Version K: Block seal cartridge with two independently acting mechanical seals
