Compact pressure-boosting system in accordance with DIN 1988 and DIN EN 806, for direct or indirect connection. Consisting of non-self-priming, vertical stainless-steel high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps, connected in parallel with an integrated frequency converter. Ready for connection with stainless steel pipework, mounted on a base frame, including control device with all necessary measurement and adjustment equipment.

For fully automatic water supply and pressure boosting in residential, commercial and public buildings, hotels, hospitals, department stores and for industrial systems.

For pumping drinking water, hot water, process water, cooling water or other water meant for consumption, which does not affect the materials used, neither chemically nor mechanically, and does not contain any abrasive or long-fibre constituents.

Special features/product benefits

Favourable price/performance ratio as a result of the compact system and stainless steel high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps from the Helix VE series with integrated air-cooled frequency converter

Remarkably wide control range

Integrated full motor protection with thermistor sensor (PTC)

Integrated low-water detection with automatic deactivation via the performance characteristics of the motor control electronics

Heavy-duty system which satisfies all the requirements of DIN 1988 (EN 806)

WRAS/ KTW/ ACS approval of the pumps for all parts that come in contact with the fluid (EPDM version)

High-efficiency pump hydraulics of the Helix V series in connection with IE3 standard motor, including 0.75 kW and larger (optional for smaller motor power)

Bidirectional mechanical seals in the pumps for easy maintenance

Flexible lantern design permits direct access to the mechanical seal

The spacer coupling enables the mechanical seal to be replaced without dismantling the motor (from 7.5 kW)

Hydraulics of entire system are pressure-loss optimised

Parts that come in contact with the fluid are corrosion-resistant

Comfort CC-FC control device with extended functions, PLC microcomputer and graphics-capable touchscreen, including frequency converter for continuously variable control of the base-load pump

Factory testing and presetting to optimum operating range

Equipment/function

2-3 Helix VE pumps per system

Continuous control of the pump by the integrated frequency converter

Parts that come into contact with fluid are corrosion-resistant

Base frame made of electrolytically galvanised steel, with height-adjustable vibration absorbers for insulation against structure-borne noise

Shut-off valve on the suction and discharge sides of each pump

Non-return valve on the discharge side of each pump

Diaphragm expansion tank, 8 l, PN10 on the discharge side

Pressure sensor, discharge side

Optional pressure gauge, suction side

Pressure gauge, discharge side

Optional protection against low water level

ECe switchgear in a sheet metal enclosure, IP54 protection class consisting of internal control voltage supply unit, microprocessor, analogue and digital input and output modules, for controlling electronic pumps with frequency converters

Operation/display

Fully electronic Easy-controller (ECe) with internal power supply, microprocessor, analogue and digital inputs and outputs for controlling and linking speed-controlled single pumps

Factory preset parameterisation for easy commissioning

Setpoint adjustment, operating parameters and acknowledgement of fault signals using Green Button Technology

LCD display (backlit) to view operating data, controller parameters, operating statuses of the pumps, error messages and history memory

LEDs for display of the system status (operation/fault)

Lockable main switch

Menu navigation with plain text and symbol representation

Locking the parameter settings

Operation with/without standby pump selectable

Elapsed time indicator for each pump

Elapsed time indicator for the whole system

Mains On/Off counter for the whole system

Start counter for each pump

Fault log with the last 10 faults; error display with code numbers

Quick access to key functions via the Easy Actions menu

Control

7 menu levels corresponding to the common menu structure for the EC-controller family; fully automatic control for 1 to 3 frequency-controlled pumps by setpoint/actual value comparison

Adjustable switch levels and delay times

Adjustable frequency range and start/stop ramps on the pumps

4 – 20 mA sensor signal (with wire break test) for control variable actual value

Automatic, load-sensitive cut-in of 1 to n peak-load pump(s) depending on the pressure - constant, p-c control variable

Adaptive PID controller facilitates pressure surge-free switching off/on of base-load and peak-load pumps

Operating mode of the pumps freely selectable (manual, off, automatic)

Automatic pump cycling:

The base-load pump is cycled at each new demand after system shutdowns, regardless of operating hours

Pump cycling dependent on operating hours, cycling of the base-load pump after six operating hours

Automatic pump test run (pump kick), alternatively: automatic pump test (pump kick) in standby mode with adjustable parameters

Test

Wire break test for the sensor cable

Selectable system behaviour in the event of a sensor fault

Protection of the pump mains power feed via circuit breaker (not for version without power element)

Automatic switchover to the standby pumps in the event of a fault on the operating pump

Zero-flow test for deactivation of the system if no water is extracted, the base-load pump is switched off at Q = 0

Protection against low water level via contact e.g. for float switch or pressure switch with adjustable follow-up time

Potential-free contacts for collective run signals (SBM) and collective fault signals (SSM) with selectable behaviour and external activation/deactivation of the system via contact

Individual run signal (EBM) and individual fault signal (ESM)

Interfaces

Potential-free contacts for EBM/ESM individual run and individual fault signals

Potential-free contacts for SBM/SSM collective run and collective fault signals

Protection against low water level via contact

External on/off via contact for deactivation of the system's automatic mode
