In intelligent cities, resources are used responsibly.
A pioneering city concept has been in progress in South Korea since 2003: Songdo. The aim is to provide the up to 70,000 residents of the area with an above-average quality of life while saving around one-third in terms of resources compared with conventional cities. Efficient components and systems are essential to achieving this. Among other things, they include a comprehensive smart city infrastructure, pneumatic waste disposal and state-of-the-art water recovery systems.
