Dortmund/Berlin. In its current May 2018 edition, Stiftung Warentest, Germany’s leading product testing institute, has tested eleven different heating pumps in terms of energy efficiency, handling, finish and declarations.

The Wilo-Yonos PICO plus heating circulator and the Wilo-Yonos PICO-STG solar pump were distinguished with the two highest ratings “VERY GOOD” (1.4)[1] and “GOOD” (2.0) in their respective areas.

“We always aim to develop technical innovations that make life easier for our customers. User-friendliness, a long service life and energy efficiency have been core product characteristics at Wilo for decades. We placed particular emphasis on these characteristics in the development of the Wilo-Yonos PICO plus and Wilo-Yonos PICO-STG pumps in the tests”, explains Georg Weber, Chief Technology Officer at Wilo. “We are of course delighted about the fact that our engineering expertise has been validated by an independent testing institute.”

Wilo is the leader in energy and cost efficiency
Among the three circulators that were tested, the Wilo-Yonos PICO plus is not only among the top performers in terms of energy efficiency, it is also the most affordable product. “The Wilo-Yonos PICO plus is the most energy-efficient and cost-efficient basic solution and includes all of the functions that a modern circulator has to offer”, says Wilo Sales Director DACH Kerstin Wolff. “Our premium model Wilo-Stratos PICO offers additional technical features and even more convenient installation.” As a manufacturer of premium products, Wilo sets great store by developing technically sophisticated solutions. “At the same time, the product features and fields of application of our product range are designed to satisfy virtually all customer requirements.”

The results spur more innovations
“Energy efficiency is hardwired into the DNA of Wilo. As the inventor of the high-efficiency pump for heating and refrigeration applications, we have achieved technological leadership which is at the same time cost-efficient”, Georg Weber explains. “For us, the excellent Stiftung Warentest results are both a distinction and motivation that keeps our passion for innovation alive.” The full test report will be published in the May edition of the Stiftung Warentest magazine.
