Design
Multistage submersible pump with a sectional construction with VdS approval for vertical or horizontal installation to supply a sprinkler system.Application
For supplying fire water to sprinkler systems in accordance with the VdS guideline ‘VdS CEA 4001’ from, for example:
- underground fire water tanks
- fire water wells
- fire water tanks

For pumping fire water and process water:
- Without long-fibre and abrasive constituents
- Maximum sand content of 150 g/m³ (depending on type)

Construction
KM 750/KM 1300/D 500 hydraulics
Multistage submersible-motor pump with semi-axial hydraulics. The housing components and impellers are made of bronze or grey cast iron with a 2K coating. The stage housing with neck rings is manufactured from special bronze. The discharge port is a flange connection. A built-in non-return valve can be ordered as an option.
ZETOS-F hydraulics
Multistage submersible-motor pump with semi-axial hydraulics. The housing parts and impellers are made from stainless steel investment castings. The discharge port has an integrated non-return valve and is available as either a flange or threaded connection. The built-in non-return valve can be optionally excluded from the order.
Motor
Three-phase current motor with rewindable PE2 winding for star-delta starts. Motor shroud made of stainless steel or steel/bronze. The motor shaft is sealed using a mechanical seal made of solid silicon carbide material. The high axial thrusts are absorbed by a thrust bearing with rockers and a counter-thrust bearing. The counter-thrust bearing absorbs the negative axial thrusts in this arrangement. All bearings are self-lubricating. For this reason, the motors are filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze as standard. Alternatively, the motors can be filled with drinking water. The U 156 … motor is filled with drinking water as standard.
Motor cooling
The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The waste heat is transferred directly to the circulating fluid via the motor shroud. The motor is thus always operated in a submerged state. Fit an anti-vortex plate to optimise the inlet flow. To increase the flow velocity at the motor, fit a cooling shroud.

Options
- Pressure shroud assembly for dry installation – the pressure shroud is used to install the unit into the pipeline system. By default, a non-return valve is not fitted in the pressure shroud. The maximum inlet pressure is 10 bar; for the D 500 unit, the maximum is 5 bar.
