Sewage, wastewater and flood control: everything for the safe and reliable drainage around a detached house
Wilo provides reliable solutions for detached and semi-detached houses for safely disposing of domestic sewage and for the drainage of buildings and properties. As well as pumps and pump systems that drain the sewage via a natural gradient, these also include solutions for deeper wastewater connections, where there is a risk of backflow and basement flooding. Even for the extreme case of overflow caused by high water, Wilo has portable and reliable pump solutions available for damage limitation, which can be very quickly connected on site.
Robust, energy-saving pump solutions for your domestic sewage
The requirements for pumps and pump systems for collecting and transporting untreated sewage are very stringent. But you’ll stay on the safe side with Wilo in all application scenarios. Wilo has a vast range of experience in the drainage of buildings and properties. Whether it’s the shower, toilet, driveway or garage – drainage is always secured with our pump systems, as Wilo pumps discharge your domestic sewage permanently and reliably into the public sewers.
However, if your basement is below the sewage connection, we recommend installing a lifting unit. This pumps your sewage to the required height so that it can also drain off into the public sewer system using the necessary gradient. Our lifting units are robust, save energy and provide maximum safety in the long term.
Wilo pumps are also an important aid in extreme cases, such as high water
With climate change on the rise, there are now increasingly frequent short periods of heavy rainfall and an increased risk of high water and flooding. This requires special solutions that are portable and can be connected as quickly as possible on site. In addition, the drainage pumps used need to be designed so that they can cope with heavily contaminated water, which still has to be disposed of afterwards. Wilo also provides you with portable solutions for such emergencies so that the pumps can be used at various locations.
As an installer, you can always provide the right drainage solution with Wilo
The continually increasing solids content creates a particular challenge for wastewater collection and transportation. Wilo provides adequate alternatives here in the form of pumps and pump systems, which can also be ordered with a macerator. Alongside optimum volume flows and delivery heads, we focus on the selection of materials used to ensure that they are practically unsusceptible to wear and potential clogging in the long term.
Professional drainage above and below the backflow level
The backflow level is the highest point within an installation that the untreated water can rise to. The danger always exists when the municipal sewer system capacity is not big enough due to heavy rainfall or even flooding.
If your installation is below the backflow level, a lifting unit with a non-return valve guarantees appropriate protection against backwater. For this purpose, we provide compact solutions for detached or semi-detached houses, which are easy to transport and can be flexibly installed.
Rapid installation thanks to our complete solutions
In recent years, prefabricated pump chambers made of plastic have become widely used. They can be easily and quickly installed by you, the qualified installer, therefore saving installation costs. In such chambers, the pumps are installed in the fluid, i.e. “wet”. This has the advantage that no separate technical room needs to be kept available for dry well installation. The pump only needs to be pulled out of the chamber for inspection and maintenance purposes.
Wilo offers you both single pumps and complete solutions with the chambers already being adapted to the geometry of the pump. This ensures safe and long-lasting use. All components are matched to each other and all accessories are available.
However, the units are fitted with a pump support foot for portable wet well installation. The discharge connection is either flexible (high-pressure hose) or rigid (via pipe). The pumps are lowered into the fluid for a short period of time in order to drain pits or tanks.
Professional consultation and installation
