Pressure boosting system as a fully automatic double pump compact unit (100% redundancy) for fire fighting purposes in accordance with DIN 14462, consisting of:

Break tank (540 l) with TZW approval for incoming water. Non self-priming, vertical stainless steel high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps with three-phase AC motor. Shaft sealing by standard cartridge mechanical seal (Helix pumps). Diaphragm pressure vessel (capacity 8 l), integrated non-return valve, shut-off valves on suction and pressure side (secured against unauthorised operation), pressure switch and pressure gauge for automatic system control. Comes as standard with pump protection by means of minimum volume discharge via bypass circuit without auxiliary energy.

Switchgear FLA for fire extinguishing systems according to DIN 14462, designed in accordance with TÜV requirements.

Switchgear integrated in a sheet metal enclosure, painted in RAL 7035. With built-in motor protection only for signalling of faults. Motor protection is active in the test run.

Switch for Manual-Automatic mode Control of the pumps by pressure switch in automatic mode; expandable to up to 8 contacts (in series connection), e.g. External On/Off, limit switch etc. (more than 8 contacts on request). All pressure switch and limit switch signals are monitored for wire break and short-circuit.

System with programmable time switch for daily test run and programmable follow-up time. Dry-running protection relay, e.g. for connection of low water float switches from the WILO FLA break tanks or level electrodes, etc.; low water status only for signalling of faults. Protection against low water level is active in the test run.

With signal lamps for ready to run (green), pump ON (green), fault (red), operation started externally (white) and potential-free contacts for ready to run, pump ON and collective fault signal.

The system has been mounted on the base frame with wires and pipes are ready for connection.

The tank can be connected directly to the suction side of the pumps.

Additional text for systems with max. discharge pressure (inlet pressure + zero-delivery head) > 8.0 bar: The customer must take suitable measures to ensure that the flow pressure of 8 bar and the resting pressure of 12 bar are not exceeded at any fire hose reel.
