AMEA CEO Engages with Kesurdi Union, Reinforces India’s Role as a Growing Production Hub

During his visit to the Kesurdi plant on 12 February 2026, Mr. Jens Dallendoerfer, CEO – AMEA Region, held an open and constructive dialogue with the Workers’ Union on plant performance and future direction.

The WILO Mather and Platt Employees’ Union extended a traditional Indian welcome to Jens and acknowledged the challenges of 2025, while appreciating the steady growth achieved despite market headwinds. The discussion also covered the 2026 business outlook, with WILO India setting an ambitious sales growth target. Delivering on this ambition will require focused execution, enhanced productivity, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Safety was reaffirmed as a top priority. The Union also reiterated its commitment to strengthening Quality and Process Engineering, fostering a culture of “Zero Defect” and “Right First Time (FTR).”

In his address, Jens thanked the Union for its continued cooperation and constructive engagement. He highlighted the rising global demand for engineered pumps manufactured in India and expressed confidence in India’s emergence as a major production hub for WILO.

The meeting reflected a strong spirit of partnership, mutual respect, and shared commitment to positioning WILO India as a high-performance, globally competitive manufacturing hub.

Wilo India conducted a comprehensive Service Partner Training Program from 16th to 20th February 2026 at its Kolhapur Works, bringing together Service Partners from the South, East, and North Region. The program focused on strengthening technical expertise in Wilo‑manufactured Control Panels for Booster Systems, HVAC applications, and Fire‑Fighting Systems, while aligning partners with Wilo’s future service strategy.

The training began with an address by Mr. Vijayanand Sontakke, Plant Head – KW, setting clear expectations and encouraging open technical dialogue. Hands‑on demonstrations and in‑depth technical sessions, led by Mr. Sushil Chaudhari and Mr. Akshay Damle, covered control panels, troubleshooting techniques, maintenance best practices, and fire‑fighting system applications, enabling participants to build strong practical capabilities.

A key highlight was the Service Expectations 2026 session by Mr. Nitish Laghate, which emphasized proactive service, professional customer handling, and value differentiation through a wide range of Value‑Added Services, including AMC, retrofits, energy audits, and root cause analysis.

The program also featured a quality-focused session by Mr. Prashant Chavan, Quality Head – KW Plant, followed by a guided factory tour showcasing Wilo’s advanced manufacturing and testing infrastructure. The initiative concluded with an assessment and a certification ceremony, recognizing top performers.

The program concluded with a written assessment designed to evaluate the knowledge and understanding gained by participants during the training. In recognition of outstanding performance, the Top 5 Participants were felicitated during the certification ceremony, with awards presented by Mr. Ajit Ingale, Regional Director – AMEA (Procurement, SCM, Logistics & IOM), Mr. Vijayanand Sontakke, KW Plant Head, and Mr. Sandeep Sawant, HR Head – KW Plant.

Over the three-day exhibition, the Wilo booth generated significant visitor interest, emerging as a key engagement point for industry stakeholders.

The booth attracted a highly relevant visitor profile, including MEP consultants, project management teams (PMCs), developers, and contractors, who engaged actively with the live product demonstrations, digital experiences, and system-level discussions.

Live Working Display Highlights Real‑World Performance

A major attraction at the Wilo booth was a unique multi‑layered working display unit, designed to demonstrate real-life application behavior and performance differences. With a water capacity of 260 liters, the display integrated multiple pumping solutions into a single functional setup.

Through this working model, visitors could clearly experience the difference between gravity-based water flow and pressurised pumping, demonstrated through shower and tap outlets. 3D Animated Plumbing Movie and IoT Zone Enhance Understanding

Adding to the immersive booth experience was a 3D animated movie on plumbing, specially created and showcased by Wilo India. The animation visually explained plumbing layouts, water flow dynamics, and pressure concepts, making complex systems easy to understand for a wide range of visitors.

The animation was integrated with a dedicated IoT Experience Zone, enabling Wilo teams to clearly explain smart connectivity, system monitoring, and control features. This combination of visual storytelling and digital technology significantly simplified explanations and supported more effective technical discussions.

Focus on Intelligent and Energy‑Efficient Solutions

Wilo India also showcased its advanced IoT-enabled pump connectivity, highlighting the role of smart systems in improving operational efficiency, transparency, and long-term reliability.

Another key highlight was the IE5 Multi Pump Booster System, which drew strong interest for its high energy efficiency, performance reliability, and sustainability-focused design, reinforcing Wilo’s commitment to future-ready water management solutions.

Hosted at the Wilo Kesurdi plant, the very first Climate Fresk workshop in the AMEA region brought together the global Sustainable Procurement initiative and the regional procurement team from Wilo Mather & Platt.

Climate Fresk Workshop Held in AMEA: A First for Wilo’s Region. A milestone moment for Sustainable Procurement in AMEA!

Hosted at the Wilo Kesurdi plant, the very first Climate Fresk workshop in the AMEA region brought together the global Sustainable Procurement initiative and the regional procurement team from Wilo Mather & Platt.

Reducing our environmental footprint is a key priority at Wilo. In line with our ambitious target to reduce Scope 3.1 CO₂ emissions by 25% by 2030, the Climate Fresk workshop marked an important starting point: building a shared understanding of climate change drivers and the role of CO₂ emissions. The interactive and collaborative Climate Fresk format proved to be a perfect match, bringing together strategic buyers and colleagues from across functions—because decarbonisation is truly a cross‑functional journey.

The session was actively supported by key AMEA and Group leaders:

Wilo India successfully conducted an intensive Service Training Program for its All-India Wilo Service Partner (WSP) technician team at the DW/Kesurdi manufacturing plant from 13th April to 17th April 2026.

Strengthening Service Excellence: Nationwide WSP Hands-On Service Training at Wilo’s Kesurdi Plant

Wilo India successfully conducted an intensive Service Training Program for its All-India Wilo Service Partner (WSP) technician team at the DW/Kesurdi manufacturing plant from 13th April to 17th April 2026. The program reaffirmed Wilo’s commitment to continuous capability building, technical excellence, and service reliability across regions.

The training witnessed an overwhelming response, with 47 technician nominations received from across the country. Considering the highly practical nature of the program, the batch was optimized to 35 participants to ensure maximum engagement and effective hands-on learning.

Program Overview

Starting on 13th April 2026, the multi-day training brought together Service Partners from the North, South, East, and West Zones. Designed as a comprehensive hands-on technical upskilling initiative, the program focused on large pumping systems and advanced control panels, covering:

Horizontal Split Case (HSC) Pumps
Multistage Ring Section Pumps
Vertical Turbine (VT) Pumps
Control Panels for small to heavy-duty applications

The training aimed to strengthen service teams’ understanding of operation, installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, engines, and control panels—ensuring faster response times, reduced downtime, and enhanced customer confidence.

The program was formally inaugurated by Mr. Vimal Vyas and Mr. Akshay Damle, reflecting Wilo India’s shared vision of knowledge sharing, structured skill development, and service excellence.

Key Highlights of the Training Program

1. Hands-On Demonstrations & Practical Technical Training

A strong emphasis was placed on practical learning, with live assembly and disassembly demonstrations of large pumps and control panels conducted by Mr. Vimal Vyas. Participants gained valuable insights into:

Advanced troubleshooting techniques
Routine and preventive maintenance best practices
Spare parts identification and management guidelines
This session ensured technicians could translate theoretical knowledge directly into field-ready expertise.

2. Fundamentals of Centrifugal Pumps

Delivered by Mr. Vimal Vyas and Mr. Akshay Damle, this session strengthened participants’ core technical foundations, covering:

Principles of centrifugal pump operation

Key components such as impellers, casings, shafts, bearings, and seals

Understanding pump curves and system matching

Types of centrifugal pumps—single-stage, multistage, and vertical

Industrial applications in steel plants, utilities, and water processing

3. HSC & VT Pumps – Installation & Commissioning Best Practices

Led by Mr. Vimal Vyas, this session focused on precision and reliability during installation, including:

Pre-installation readiness checks (foundation, alignment, space)

Proper mounting and hydraulic testing to ensure vibration-free operation

Maintaining permissible tolerances for long equipment life

Stepwise commissioning for smooth and safe handover to customers

4. Multistage Pump Operation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting (IOM)

Conducted jointly by Mr. Akshay Damle and Mr. Vimal Vyas, this session used real-life service scenarios to highlight:

Importance of IOM manuals for consistent pump performance

Safe operating procedures for start-up, shutdown, and continuous operation

Troubleshooting common issues such as cavitation, seal leakage, jamming, and vibration

Enhanced focus on safety standards during maintenance activities

5. Control Panel Installation, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

This advanced session, jointly conducted by Mr. Sanjoy Bhowmick and Mr. Akshay Damle, showcased modern control strategies and electronics, covering:

Step-by-step installation of Fire Engine Auto Panels, Booster Panels, HVAC Panels, etc.

Thermography, PLC monitoring, VFD connections, and parameter settings

BMS connectivity, configuration, and system diagnostics

Preventive maintenance planning for reduced downtime

6. Control Panel – Practical Maintenance Training

Led by Mr. Vimal Vyas and Mr. Sanjoy Bhowmick, this hands-on session deepened practical expertise in:

Control panel wiring and component identification

Testing, SLD understanding, and troubleshooting
