Equipment/function

• Two high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps from the Wilo-Medana CH1-L series with IE2/IE3 motor technology (IE2: up to 0.75 kW, IE3: from 0.75 kW)
• Baseplate in a vibration-insulated design with height-adjustable pedestal
• Two-way valve allows automatic switchover to drinking water replenishment in case of a lack of rainwater in the storage tank
• Replenishment reservoir (volume: 400 litres) functions as a hybrid tank with overflow conforming to EN 1717 (free drain type AA) to pump rainwater and replenish fresh water according to demand when the rainwater storage tank is empty
• Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank (volume: 8 litres) conforming to DIN 4807 for energy savings if there are very small leaks in the building
• Filling level sensor with 1.5 m cable (measurement range 0 to 5 m) allows the amount of water in the hybrid tank to be detected
• All parts that come into contact with the fluid are corrosion-proof

on the discharge side:

• Ball valve at each pump
• Discharge manifold that can be connected on both sides
• Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank (8 litres)
• Pressure sensor 4 – 20 mA
• Pressure gauge

on the suction side:

• Pressure sensor 4 – 20 mA
• Pressure gauge

Automatic pump control with fully electronic EC-Rain control device (Easy Control) in metal housing, IP54 rating. Ready for connection as electronics and hydraulics are already hooked up. Mounted on an anti-corrosive painted tubular steel structure.

A working area of 60 cm around the system is recommended in order to facilitate the maintenance process.

Operation/display

• Two separate LED displays (1 EC(e) booster printed circuit board to control up to two feeding pumps (rainwater storage tank pumps), 1 EC-Rain printed circuit board to control the high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump of the Wilo-Medana CH1-L series) show operating data, controller parameters, operating statuses of the pumps, error messages and history memory
• Menu navigation with seven-segment display and visualisation
• Factory-preset parameters for easy commissioning/start
• Setting of operating parameters and acknowledgement of fault messages using rotary knob
• Lockable main switch
• Elapsed time indicator for each pump and for the entire system
• Dry-running and overflow meter
• Fault memory for the last 10 faults

Control

• Two non-self-priming centrifugal pumps from the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP series (p-c control mode)
• From up to two feeding pumps (ordered separately) (3~ 400 V)
• Adjustable switch-on and -off pressure for base- and peak-load pump in relation to the defined duty point
• Adjustable fill level in the hybrid tank to activate the feeding pump(s)
• Automatic, load-sensitive cut-in of the peak-load pump depending on the start-up pressure of the base-load pump
• Several user levels with different rights and menu scope and presentation of comprehensive information on the main screen
• Easy Actions menu for quick configuration of basic parameters
• Freely selectable operating mode of pump (manual, off, automatic) and two-way valves (opened, closed)
• Steady system control by means of pump cycling (configurable) and integrated test run on idle pumps
• Operating modes of the systems (manual or automatic)
• Automatic, configurable pump cycling
  • Standard setting: Impulse - The base-load pump is cycled at each new demand, regardless of operating hours
  • Alternatively: pump cycling of base-load pump after configurable operating hours (EC(e) booster interval: 6 hours; EC-Rain interval: 1 to 6 hours)
• Automatic, configurable pump test run (pump kick)
  • Can be activated/deactivated
  • Time between two pump test runs is freely programmable
  • Disabling times can be programmed as desired
  • Speed can be adjusted as desired
