Through the targeted use of rainwater, the Wilo-RainSystem AF150 is a particularly sustainable system for saving drinking water.
The factory pre-assembled system can be installed quickly. The EC switchgear and Green Button Technology allow it to be put into operation swiftly. The system is equipped with a replenishment reservoir with a volume of 150 litres for continuous operation. It switches automatically to drinking water replenishment if the rainwater level is low in the rainwater storage tank.
Low energy consumption is ensured by the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP integrated, self-priming centrifugal pump with IE2 motor technology in combination with the flow-optimised design of the replenishment reservoir. The power supply in the low-voltage range, self-protection routines (such as dry-running protection) and corrosion-resistant components provide for a high degree of operational reliability and durability. The quiet operation allows applications directly in the living area.
The system can be integrated in an existing building management system via a Modbus RTU interface. Extended communication via a gateway is optionally available.

Design

Automatic rainwater utilisation system with replenishment reservoir with 150-litre volume and 2 Medana CH1-LSP self-priming, horizontal, multistage centrifugal pumps. System installed on a vibration-insulated tubular steel frame in a compact design including an 8-litre diaphragm expansion tank and fully electronic EC control unit (Easy Control) with control electronics and level sensor (including 20 m cable, measurement range 0 – 5 m).

Equipment/function

  • Module in compact construction that is ready for connection, electronics and hydraulics already hooked up
  • Vibration-insulated tubular steel frame with height-adjustable pedestal and baseplate for attaching pumps, made up of:
  • Two self-priming, corrosion-free, low-noise centrifugal pumps from the Medana CH1-LSP series
  • Fresh water replenishment reservoir (150 litres) with mechanical float valve
  • Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank conforming to DIN 4807 for energy savings if there are very small leaks in the building
  • Fully electronic EC Rain control device (Easy Control) in metal housing, protection class IP54. With control unit electronics including two three-way valves, pressure transmitter 4–20 mA and filling level sensor with 20 m cable for fill level monitoring:
    • LED display to output operating data, controller parameters, operating statuses of the pumps, error messages and history memory
    • Menu navigation with seven-segment display and visualisation
    • Factory-preset parameters for easy commissioning/start
    • Setting of operating parameters and acknowledgement of fault messages using rotary knob
    • Lockable main switch
    • Elapsed time indicator for each pump and for the entire system
    • System/level control in low-voltage range (24VDC)
    • Level monitoring of the rainwater storage tank with overflow detection and metering
    • Optional overflow detection for replenishment reservoir
    • Over/underpressure detection
    • Dry-running protection of pump

Construction

Ready for connection rainwater utilisation system in compact construction, with full electric and hydraulic connections already in place and installed on vibration-insulated painted tubular steel frame.

Pipework: R 1½ discharge manifold, including transmitter unit with diaphragm expansion tank (8 litres) following the volume flow principle and shut-off device with draining, manometer 0 to 10 bar, and ball valve on the suction and discharge side. High operational reliability due to two separate suction lines (to be created on-site).

High-volume replenishment reservoir for needs-based replenishment with drinking water in the consumer network when rainwater storage tanks are not full.

Connection for backflow warning is available as standard.

Pumps: 2 self-priming, corrosion-free, low-noise centrifugal pumps from the Medana CH1-LSP series.

Operation and parameterisation of the fully electronic EC-Rain control device (Easy Control) via menu-driven rotary knob. Display of extensive messages. Available potential-free contacts for collective operation and collective fault signals.
