A fan or compressor pumps air into the air distributer via the mains supply line. The air distributer distributes the air evenly to the individual ventilation lines and the diffusers. The diffusers diffuse the air over the entire diaphragm surface and channel it into the fluid in the form of large to fine bubbles.


The aeration system is composed of one or more aerator fields. An aeration system can consist of different aerator fields (tube diffusers, panel diffusers or disc diffusers). An aerator field forms the basic unit here and consists of several components:

  • Inlet pipe (for panel diffusers)
  • Air distributor with connection flange for the inlet pipe (for disc and tube diffusers)
  • Base support for pipework
  • Pipework
  • Aerator
  • Drainage connection (in the case of disc or tube diffusers)


Panel diffuser:

The inlet pipe and the diffusers are fastened directly to the basin floor. For a levelling, the diffusers can optionally be fastened at the base via threaded rods.

Tube and disc diffusers:

Base supports are used to fully attach the pipework to the bottom of the basin. These also enable levelling of the aerator system.


The supplied air is channelled into the fluid via the diffuser in the form of large to fine bubbles. The air is diffused here via the entire perforated diaphragm surface and discharged through the diaphragm.
