Series description

Design

Pressure-boosting system with 2 or 3 parallel-switched, non-self-priming, vertical high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps made of stainless steel. Ready for connection with stainless steel pipework, mounted on a base frame, including control device with all necessary measurement and adjustment equipment

Application

  • Fully automatic water distribution and boosting in inlet mode, either from the public water supply network or from a tank, for domestic, commercial, industrial and municipal applications (e.g. residential, office, administration buildings, hotels, hospitals, trades, industry, water supply companies).
  • Pumping of drinking water and process water, cooling water, fire water (apart from fire-fighting systems in accordance with DIN 14462 and with the approval of the local fire safety authorities) or other types of industrial water that do not attack the materials either chemically or mechanically and do not contain abrasive or long-fibre constituents.

Equipment/function

  • 2-3 pumps per system of the Helix V 4 to Helix V 52 series with IE3 standard motor
  • EC-control with IP54 plastic housing, consisting of an internal power supply unit, microprocessor, analogue and digital input and output modules
  • Components that come in contact with fluid are corrosion-resistant
  • Zinc-coated steel base frame with height-adjustable vibration absorber for insulation against structure-borne noise
  • Pipework made of 1.4301 stainless steel
  • Shut-off valve on the suction and discharge sides of each pump
  • Non-return valve on the discharge side of each pump
  • Pressure sensor, on the end pressure side
  • Optional pressure gauge (suction side)
  • Pressure gauge (on the end pressure side)
  • Optional low-water cut-out switchgear

Construction

  • Base frame: Steel zinc-coated and provided with height-adjustable oscillation absorbers for comprehensive insulation against structure-borne noise; other versions on request
  • Pipework: entire pipework made of stainless steel; suitable for the connection of all conventional pipe materials used
  • The pipework is dimensioned according to the overall hydraulic performance of the pressure-boosting system
  • Pumps: 2 to 3 pumps from the Helix V 4 to Helix V 52 series connected in parallel
  • All pump parts which come into contact with the fluid are made of stainless steel; other versions on request
  • Valves: Each pump is fitted on the suction and discharge side with a standard-equipped shut-off valve and on the discharge side with a non-return valve
  • Pressure sensor: 4 to 20 mA, located on the end pressure side for activating the central EC controller
  • Pressure display: by means of ø 63 mm pressure gauge on the discharge side
  • Additional digital display of end pressure in the alphanumeric LCD display of the EC controller
  • Controller: the system is standard-equipped with an EC controller
