Wilo Kenya has been selected as one of the countries to take part in the Wilo sustainability project, specifically showcasing the region’s contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goal– SDG 8 on Decent Work & Economic Growth.
As part of Wilo’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Wilo is implementing the Wilo SDG Action Days. The aim is to underline our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and to make an active contribution to the Global Goals Week in September 2022.
Wilo SDG Action Days the dialogue was about SDG8 which targets Decent Work & Economic Growth. The SDG goal covers the creation of a future proofed economy as a guarantee of societal wealth all human beings can share in.
The event was held in Kenya on Thursday, September 22, 2022 by 8:00 CET. In attendance were dignitories and key players in the water and other sectors with keynote speaker as the German Ambasador to Kenya.
We also other participants and Wilo Colleagues from across the globe join virtually.
Wilo East Africa is celebrating its fifth year anniversary this year, and the platform is on the verge of opening the first assembly plant to serve all East African countries, namely; Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Tanzania, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Uganda, Rwanda, and Somalia.
This localization approach and model will greatly serve to contribute to decent work and economic growth for current and future generations in Africa.
