Lifting unit series with additional fields of application
Wilo, the pump expert from Dortmund, is now presenting a completely new family of lifting units. With the Wilo-DrainLift SANI series, the existing portfolio is being streamlined in a way that makes sense; at the same time, users can enjoy a number of new fields of application thanks to the high degree of modularity provided by the now four basic types. The four basic types S and M, each with one pump, plus L and XL, each with two pumps, can also be combined with the new separators from the Wilo-Separator series.
“Sizes and technical enhancements make the DrainLift SANI lifting unit suitable for use almost anywhere, whether in detached and semi-detached dwellings with the S version or in the XL version in conjunction with the
Wilo-Separator in large, commercial areas such as canteens or commercial kitchens,” explains Wilo Product Manager, Carsten Stremmel. “Thanks to the high degree of modularity, we can offer a large number of variants despite having just four basic types and as a result provide the greatest possible flexibility on the market in wastewater collection and transport.”
Operational reliability and user-friendliness without compromise
Wilo’s DrainLift SANI product family stands out from the crowd with its numerous user-friendly features. Transport and installation are child’s play thanks to the compact lightweight design. “Furthermore, the various connection options available ensure additional flexibility during installation,” says Stremmel. “This is an extra benefit, especially when working in the often cramped confines associated with setting up lifting units.” Optimum operational reliability is guaranteed by the large switching volume and thermal motor protection. Any malfunction triggers the mains-independent alarm; this can also be sent to mobile devices as a push notification if required. No compromises were made during the development and design phase in terms of the unit’s build quality: “High-quality materials such as stainless steel, precision casting and technical engineering plastics ensure reliability and durability,” explains Carsten Stremmel. Corrosion-free design was also a priority during development. The Wilo DrainLift SANI lifting units are also very easy to maintain: “We worked closely with operators and installers during the design phase – the very people who’ll be using the product day-in, day-out,” says Carsten Stremmel. “Based on their experiences, we focused particularly on simple maintenance and cleaning.”
Single or double pump? A question of quantity…
The Wilo-DrainLift SANI-S and DrainLift SANI-M are ideal for use in detached and semi-detached dwellings. The S variant is the smallest and lightest lifting unit according to EN12050-1 (without macerator) in the market. High flexibility and simple installation are key features. It can also be configured for particularly aggressive fluids if required. Uncontrolled sewage intake can pose major problems for many lifting units, but not for the Wilo-DrainLift SANI-M. The motor operating modes available, namely endurance run and intermittent periodic duty, the free ball passage of 44 mm and 65 mm, and the optional version for particularly aggressive fluids ensure maximum operational reliability. The Wilo-DrainLift SANI-L and XL cover the field of application in residential dwellings and commercial buildings.
“The central criterion in these fields of application is operational reliability,” adds Carsten Stremmel. “The version as a double pump lifting unit fulfils precisely this requirement.” In addition, both impress thanks to a particularly large switching volume and both are also suitable for use of aggressive fluids.
“With the Wilo-DrainLift SANI product family, we’re bringing to market a lifting unit portfolio that focuses heavily on the requirements of operators and installers and at the same time offers maximum flexibility and operational reliability,” explains Wilo Product Manager, Carsten Stremmel. Time is also a rare commodity for operators and installers. They therefore welcome anything that saves time. For this reason, installation and maintenance were designed to be as user-friendly as possible.
