Top 100 seals of approval in the category "Innovative Processes/Organisation”

Dortmund/Frankfurt. - The technology specialist WILO SE has made the leap among the best in the 26th edition of the Top 100 innovation competition. The award was presented by the two mentors Ranga Yogeshwar and the scientific director of the comparison, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, in the “Jahrhunderthalle” in Frankfurt. "Wilo has established itself as an innovation leader in the pump industry since its founding. New technologies and innovative solutions are an essential part of our corporate history," says Oliver Hermes, CEO of the Wilo Group. "In this context, the renowned Top 100 seal in the category 'Innovative Processes/Organisation' honours the performance of our employees in a very special way.”

Wilo has been supplying people around the globe with innovative pumps and smart high-tech system solutions since 1872. "We have evolved from a component manufacturer to a solution provider, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by digital transformation," says Oliver Hermes. The claim goes beyond the product and includes consulting, development, commissioning and maintenance at the highest level. For example, Wilo "smartifies" its products with digital features or equips them with solar modules so that they can be operated independently of fossil fuels. "We see ourselves as a digital pioneer in the pump industry and thus remain true to our innovative strength and joy," explains Oliver Hermes.

Thanks to its numerous innovations and open corporate culture, the Dortmund-based company has developed in recent years from a hidden champion to a visible champion. Everyone in the company can contribute new ideas for developments: "An active, employee-driven innovation and suggestion scheme has already produced numerous improvements," says Georg Weber, Wilo Chief Technology Officer. "Creative approaches are not limited to the product portfolio. Process improvements in work processes are just as much in demand as the issues of 'sustainability' or 'social responsibility'". Against this background, Georg Weber sees the award of the Top 100 seal as an appreciation of all 7,800 Wilo employees worldwide.
