Optimum building drainage should function safely and on a permanent basis. It should be quiet and as odourless as possible. This can best be achieved with individually tailored solutions. Wilo provides modern, diverse solutions for safe wastewater collection and transportation for your detached and semi-detached houses.

Rely on safe wastewater collection and sewage transportation as a homeowner

Pumping your domestic sewage is an increasingly demanding task. Water-saving measures, such as toilet flushes with a stop button, make sense for the environment, on the one hand, because less and less water is being used for sewage disposal. On the other hand, the solids content in sewage increases proportionally due to fibrous fluids. As a result, the residence time in the pipe network is continually extended and the fluid that needs to be pumped becomes increasingly aggressive. The composition of our sewage therefore becomes the real problem and the risk of clogging increases. The energy-efficient and modern pump systems from Wilo provide you, the homeowner, with a secure and complete solution for safely collecting and quickly transporting your sewage.

Reliable sewage disposal in the basement area

Are you planning to have a cellar bar, a laundry room or an additional toilet in your basement? This may become a problem in certain circumstances if the wastewater and sewage accumulate below the existing open channels or backflow level.

In this case, your wastewater and sewage cannot enter the sewer system by means of gravity. If, as a result of heavy rainfall, more water flows into the sewer system than it can handle, backflow occurs. The risk is that encroaching water from the sewer beneath the street may get into your house through the house connection pipe. All rooms below the so-called backflow level would be flooded with leaking sewage if there is no backflow safeguard. This would cause considerable damage. But Wilo has developed small lifting units as a suitable solution precisely for this eventuality.

Ensure safety as an installer with small lifting units

Small lifting units are useful for transporting sewage from the basement into the sewer system. Depending on the space and type of installation, as an installer you can either use small lifting units for limited use (single-room drainage) or fully-fledged sewage lifting units.

You’ve chosen the right solutions partner in Wilo: Our lifting units are designed to be very compact and are therefore particularly light. They are therefore ideal for use in single or two-family houses. Our lifting units are easy to install and can be used very flexibly, thanks to their large pump volume, freely selectable inlets and the availability of an optional version for aggressive fluids.

Stationary or portable installation according to the requirement

In the case of new builds, complete systems with plastic tanks have now become established for drainage, and they’re easy to transport and quick to install. The use of such complete systems significantly reduces the work involved in installation. Depending on the technical solution, the pumps are installed in the fluid, i.e. “wet”. The big advantage of this type of installation is that the pump can be easily lifted out of the tank for inspection and maintenance purposes.

The plastic tanks are already adapted to the pump’s geometry. This ensures safe and long-lasting use. All components are matched to each other and all accessories are included in the scope of delivery.

The units are fitted with a pump support foot for portable wet well installation. The discharge connection is either flexible with a high-pressure hose or rigid via a pipe. The pumps are lowered into the fluid for a short period of time in order to drain pits or tanks.

Pressure drainage – a good solution when there is no sewer system

As an installer, you can provide a solution to a problem if there is no sewer system available in a detached and semi-detached house and it is either impossible or uneconomical to build one. In these cases, we recommend pressure drainage using small-diameter piping.

With the “Wilo-Ports”, we have developed pump chambers precisely for these applications. The pump chamber bodies are made of heavy-duty, non-corroding polyethylene and are anti-buoyant. They are also durable and reliable.

Our products for transporting wastewater and sewage free of faeces are equipped with an optimum free ball passage and can be used flexibly for both stationary and portable wet well installations.

The perfect combination – pump chamber and pump in one system

The combinations of Wilo pump chamber and pump constitute a perfectly harmonised system with corresponding approvals to EN 12050-1 for pumping sewage containing faeces.

The optimised hydraulics provide high levels of reliability for pumping a diverse range of fluids in all applications. Thanks to the compact design, installation is also possible through narrow openings in drainage pits. The sealing chambers are designed for long maintenance intervals, and direct access to the most important components makes your maintenance work considerably easier.

You can rely on Wilo’s wide range of solutions as an installer

Wilo offers installers like you a large selection of single pumps and complete systems from a single source: from domestic drainage and pumps stations to pressure drainage. All of these solutions set standards in terms of operational reliability and efficiency.

Professional consultation and installation

An installer will be the best person to tell you which pump system is best suited to your needs. Wilo only works with qualified installers, who will advise you on our products and take care of the professional installation and maintenance.
