His Excellency Dr. Rashid Alleem, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) welcomed Wilo team.
His Excellency Dr. Rashid Alleem, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) welcomed Yasser Nagi, Group Director Sales Area MENA and Siegfried Fischer, Group Vice President Product Line Engineering in Sharjah, UAE to discuss about enhancing the business cooperation in the water and energy sectors.
“Wilo is here to provide solutions that support the business activities in the Emirate of Sharjah. Today, Water Shortage is one of the major challenges we face in the entire world. We want to share our experiences and expertise together with strategic partners like SEWA to reduce water consumption and promote efficient water supply,” said Yasser Nagi, Group Director Sales Area MENA.
SEWA and WILO agreed to start a one-year pilot project with the target of reducing energy consumption in water management, especially in desalination. The power and water utility of the emirate Sharjah employs more than 5,000 people and operates 500,000 m3/day desalination capacity at five locations. SEWA is currently implementing its ambitious strategy “SEWA Vision 2020”, which aims to reduce energy, water consumption and carbon emissions as well as reducing the environmental impact of operations. As part of this program, SEWA is very open to innovation, new technologies and collaboration with companies such as Wilo, which can improve the performance of SEWA’s assets and the sustainability of its operations.
Also part of the delegation were Morcel Burjas, Sales Director Gulf region, Rishi Bhojwani, Service Manager UAE, Fouad Ahmed, Marketing Manager MENA and Michael Ksoll from Theron consulting group.
