Wilo Indonesia recently shared industry expertise with Mechanical Engineering students at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) through a guest lecture.
Wilo Indonesia recently had the opportunity to share industry expertise with students of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) through a guest lecture exploring pump system fundamentals, practical engineering applications, and the development of smarter and more sustainable pumping solutions.
The event opened with a welcome speech by Ir. Andianto Pintoro, S.T., M.T., Head of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, who highlighted the importance of connecting academic learning with industry practices.
The guest lecture was delivered by David Nathaniel, Head of Sales Industry at Wilo Indonesia, who shared insights into pump technology, its applications across various industries, and its role in addressing real-world engineering challenges.
The session also highlighted the growing role of digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) in pumping systems, including technologies that enable smarter monitoring, data-driven insights, and more efficient system management.
Connecting industry expertise with academic learning plays an important role in preparing future engineers for the evolving demands of the industry. By exposing students to practical applications and emerging technologies, initiatives like this help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world engineering practices.
Wilo Indonesia extends sincere appreciation to Universitas Sumatera Utara for the opportunity to engage with its Mechanical Engineering students. Through this collaboration, Wilo aims to support the development of future engineering talent and inspire solutions that contribute to a smarter and more sustainable future.
