With effect from 1 January 2020, WILO SE is expanding its Executive Board and appointing Dr. Patrick Niehr as a new member. Board members Mathias Weyers (CFO) and Georg Weber (CTO) have also had their contracts renewed ahead of time until 31 December 2024.
“The Supervisory Board is once again opting for continuity with these decisions and is thus laying the foundations for the continued successful development of the company,” explains Oliver Hermes, President & CEO of the Wilo Group. Dr. Patrick Niehr will take charge of the Group Human Resources, Group Legal & Insurance, Strategic Sales & Marketing, and Internal Communications sectors in the future in addition to restructuring and integration activities. Mathias Weyers has been a member of the Executive Board since 1 December 2016 and is responsible for the Group Controlling, Group Accounting & Taxes, Group Finance, Group Internal Audit & Compliance, Group Information Management, and Group Mergers & Acquisitions sectors as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Georg Weber has been a member of the Executive Board since 1 August 2017 and is responsible for the Group Research & Development, Group Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Group Operations, Group Quality, and Group Location Management sectors as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
“With the decision to extend the terms of office of Messrs. Weyers and Weber, the Supervisory Board confirms their great confidence in their activities, and this also reflects the extremely positive developments of the Wilo Group over the last few years,” says Prof. Dr. Norbert Wieselhuber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WILO SE.
From the Supervisory Board’s point of view, the appointment of Dr. Niehr to the Executive Board represents a logical consequence of his successful activities over the last few years. “Dr. Niehr has worked for WILO SE in various leadership roles since October 2010 and was most recently Chief Representative of the company,” Prof. Dr. Wieselhuber adds.
