Series description
Wilo-Rexa SOLID-Q

Design

This submersible pump is designed for stationary and portable wet and stationary dry installations. The motors are designed for continuous duty. Includes Nexos Intelligence, from easy pump control up to intelligent system control.

Liquid

For pumping in commercial areas of:

  • Untreated sewage
  • Sewage containing feces
  • Process sewage

Equipment/function

  • Heavy-duty cast iron design.
  • Sealing chamber to collect any leakage from the mechanical seal on the fluid side.
  • Leakage chamber to collect any leakage from the mechanical seal on the motor side (only motor size 20).
  • Ex approval according to FM
  • Motor monitoring with integrated Digital Data Interface:

    • LPI system mode: control mode for pump and external variable speed drive (controlled by the pump) with clogging detection.
    • LSI system mode: Full control of an overall pumping station with up to four pumps, including clogging detection. Each pump operates on a variable speed drive. One pump operates as the primary pump. The primary pump controls all other pumps based on the system parameters.
    • The default system mode LPI is free. LSI system mode can be enabled with a license key.

Construction

Hydraulics

Discharge port with horizontal flange connection. Maximum dry solids content is 8 %. The impeller type used is a semi-open two-channel impeller.

T motor

Surface-cooled high efficiency submersible permanent magnet motor without cooling system for wet installation. The housing parts transmit the waste heat of the motor directly to the fluid. The motor itself is dry. Permanently lubricated rolling bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends. Depending on the motor size and the motor power, the motors can be installed dry and operate in short-time duty.

FKT motor

Self-cooling high efficiency submersible permanent magnet motor with active cooling system for wet and dry installation. The cooling system is designed with a closed cooling circuit. The filled coolant is a mixture of water and glycol. An impeller driven by the motor shaft continuously circulates the coolant. The cooling system is unpressurized when cold. A built-in pressure relief valve limits the maximum operating pressure to 43 psi (3 bar). The cooling flange transmits the waste heat to the pumped fluid. Permanently lubricated roller bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends.

Seal

Seals on the fluid side and the motor side are available in the designs shown below:

  • Design G: Two independent mechanical seals
  • Design K: Block seal cartridge with two independent mechanical seals

Operating fluids

All operating fluids are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe:

  • Medical grade white oil
  • Water-glycol mixture (35 % glycol and 65 % water)

Wilo-EFC variable speed drive

The high efficiency permanent magnet motor operates on a Wilo-EFC variable speed drive. Other variable speed drives can be used, after an approval by Wilo.
