Apply now: Wilo to present first-ever Ecolution Award for water management

Dortmund/LATAM. This year, the Wilo Group will present the Ecolution Award for the first time. Between 9 April and 30 September, Wilo customers are asked to apply for this new award by presenting innovative water management projects. The multinational technology group will use the award to recognise projects that are particularly efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly, and adopt a forward-looking approach for the entire industry.

“The Ecolution Award recognises project managers who boldly take the initiative and set standards for water management”, explains Dr Patrick Niehr, Member of the Executive Board and CCO of the Wilo Group. “You are pioneers in your industry and you should be justifiably proud of your project. Please share them with us! We look forward to receiving lots of applications.”

Once the application deadline has passed, a jury of industry experts will choose winners in three categories: The “Increasing Energy Efficiency” category is targeted at projects that are a cut above the rest through their application of digital solutions to improve efficiency or, specifically, through investments that have been made in employing energy-efficient Wilo solutions. The Ecolution Award in the “Increasing Operational Reliability” category recognises projects that make use of parts that involve early warning systems so that faults, for example, can be rectified more rapidly, thereby avoiding consequential damage. The “Exceeding Environmental Requirements” category recognises projects that contribute to environmental protection, for example, by using renewable energies or processes to remove micropollutants.

The prerequisite for taking part is the utilisation of Wilo products, systems and solutions. Wilo customers from all around the world are eligible to participate. The winners of this first Ecolution Award will not only receive an award that recognises their position as a pioneering water management company, but they can also attend the award ceremony at Wilopark in Dortmund, which will include a tour of Wilo’s Smart Factory in addition to an evening programme of events. Wilo will also publicise the winning projects through various channels.
