Celebrates Inauguration of New Facilities and Test Bench
Santiago, Chile. The multinational technology group and one of the world’s leading premium manufacturers of pumps and pump systems, proudly announces the inauguration of its new facilities and state-of-the-art test bench in Santiago, Chile. This significant milestone marks four years since the establishment of Wilo Chile SpA, reflecting the company's continued growth and commitment to the Chilean market.
A Commitment to Growth and Innovation
The new office and test bench symbolise Wilo's aspirations and commitment to the region. This investment is evidence of the consistent implementation of Wilo's global strategy. "Wilo operates in more than 90 countries and has 16 factories across 10 countries. By adopting a 'region by region' strategy, Wilo aims to add local value, build resilient supply chains and serve its customers with greater efficiency and agility," says Svenja Ahlburg, Group Director Latin America & Caribbean.
Strengthening German-Chilean Relations
The event was attended by key customers, partners and the WiloLATAM Management team from various countries, as well as Her Excellency Irmgard Maria Fellner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Chile. She highlighted the strong and enduring ties between Germany and Chile, based on economic cooperation and cultural exchange in her opening speech.
Germany is one of Chile's most important trading partners in Europe, and Chile is a valuable ally for Germany in Latin America. Recent exchanges, such as the visit of the Chilean Women in Mining delegation to Wilo's Industry 4.0 factory and green hydrogen plant in Dortmund, Germany, highlight the importance of knowledge transfer and sustainable practices.
Wilo is excited about the future and the opportunities for cooperation in the construction, sanitation, fish farming, irrigation and industrial sectors. "With the ability to assemble pumping systems locally, Wilo Chile will reduce significantly delivery times from several weeks to just 5-7 working days. We will not only improve our lead times, but also our technical support with in-house support and our Wilo service partners. The new test bench further strengthens our commitment to innovation and efficiency" concludes Gustavo Ramos, Managing Director of Wilo Chile.
