Having your own domestic water supply in addition to the public supply makes you a little more independent as a homeowner, lowers your water costs and is also a valuable contribution to the environment. A problem only arises if the water pressure cannot be maintained because, for instance, the extraction points are located above or directly below the water storage tank. This may be the case in residential areas that have developed over time, or in attic conversions.
