Last week, our facilities became a vibrant hub of innovation and collaboration as we welcomed a group of talented postgraduate engineers from the University of Pretoria for our One-Stop-Shop Workshop on pipeline design and the role of pumps in pipeline systems. This was far more than a technical seminar—it was a dynamic exchange of knowledge where academic theory met real-world application, and where the next generation of engineers connected directly with the companies shaping the industry’s future.

The workshop brought together bright academic talent and industry-leading companies, including Vega, SINVAC, and Truco Rubber, each contributing their expertise, insights, and practical experience. Participants explored the fundamentals and complexities of pipeline design, examined the critical role of pumps in maintaining system efficiency, and discussed real-world engineering challenges alongside the solutions that keep industries moving forward.
