Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers at the University of Pretoria

We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to visit the University of Pretoria and engage with some of the brightest young minds in engineering. Our goal was to inspire and educate future engineers about the exciting possibilities in pump technology and sustainable solutions.

During our visit, Mr. Clemens Pretorius, the Sales Manager at Wilo Pumps SA, accompanied by Mr. Jano Verreynne, the Strategic Business Development Manager for the AMEA region, presented several of our flagship products. These included the robust and technologically advanced Wilo-Rexa SOLID-Q, the durable solids separation system – the Wilo EMUport CORE, and the versatile Wilo-Split case pump. Each of these products is engineered with a strong focus on energy efficiency, helping reduce operational costs and environmental impact — a priority for today’s engineering challenges.

We also demonstrated our innovative Wilo Select-5 Tool, a powerful website for engineers and technicians to easily access detailed product information and technical specs. This tool is designed to empower users with knowledge and streamline project planning.

It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm and curiosity among the students, reminding us why innovation and education go hand in hand. We look forward to continuing this journey, supporting the next generation of engineers who will drive sustainable growth and technological advancement in the pumping industry.
