Wilo South Africa Kick-Off 2025 - "This Is Africa"
Our kick-off 2025 theme, "This Is Africa," emphasized the integration of various cultures, histories, aspirations, dreams, and futures to form a cohesive entity, united in purpose and committed to realizing our common objectives within Wilo. This will also serve as the foundation for 2025.
The meeting commenced with an engaging presentation by Matthew Magwede, Group Director for Middle & Southern Africa, followed by insightful sessions led by regional leaders from various departments, including logistics, finance, marketing, production, and a particular focus on sales.
On the second day, we delved into local and international sales, highlighted by an inspiring address from guest speaker Grant Gavin, a renowned business coach and public speaker specializing in entrepreneurship, sales, and personal development. He emphasized the significance of overcoming self-imposed barriers. After lunch, we engaged in team-building activities, dividing into four groups, each displaying determination and spirited enthusiasm. The activities included spear throwing, target shooting, painting, and other collaborative exercises, culminating in one team emerging victorious.
The day concluded with an awards ceremony where we recognized outstanding achievements, including the Salesperson of the Year 2024 and runners-up, Market Segment of the Year, and awards for triple and double-digit growth over the previous year. Special recognition awards were also presented, such as the Hidden Gem Award, Unmatched Dedication Award, Customer Service Award, Ultimate Excellence Award, and the Above and Beyond Award for 2024.
The kick-off meeting, themed "This is Africa," held particular significance, especially with zebras and giraffes present at the venue. This unique setting allowed us to celebrate the essence of Africa while being captivated by the serene surroundings and the presence of wildlife. It was indeed a remarkable way to start the year.
We express our heartfelt appreciation to our colleagues who travelled from various regions of Africa, and to Ahmed Farouk for his commitment in coming from the UAE to lend his support.
