Wilo South Africa exceeds expectations at the recent Electra Mining Africa Exhibition.

Africa is a continent rich in mineral resources, boasting the largest mineral industry globally. The rapidly expanding mining sector offers numerous promising opportunities for the Wilo Group.

Recently, Wilo South Africa took part in Electra Mining Africa, recognized as the premier trade show for mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power, and transport in Southern Africa.

The five-day fair allowed Wilo to showcase its reliable, robust and energy-efficient industrial solutions to leading global firms, fostering meaningful discussions and interactions. This year, the exhibition drew approximately 40 000 visitors, providing Wilo South Africa with an excellent opportunity to connect and collaborate with leading experts and organizations within the mining industry.

Each day of the event featured a unique theme set out by the event organizers. These themed days included Sustainability Day, Women's Day, Safety Day, Innovation Day and South Africa Day. Wilo seized the opportunity to partake in all five themed days.

The event also featured Christine Amira as keynote speaker, who addressed the topics of climate change and Wilo's sustainability strategy, focusing on our three impact areas; Creating, Caring and Connecting, on Sustainability Day. Furthermore, Group Sales Director for Middle and Southern Africa, Matthew Magwede, participated in a media interview with Platinum Gold Radio Station.

The most significant highlight of the event was undoubtedly the introduction of the Wilo Atmos GIGA-NX to the local market, led by Matthew Magwede alongside Jano Verreynne, Global Business Development Manager.
