"WiloLATAM ensures the supply of chilled water for the air conditioning system of the tallest building in the Uruguayan capital."
Montevideo, Uruguay. WiloLATAM is still a reference! German technology expert Wilo has equipped the World Trade Center in Montevideo, Uruguayan capital, with high efficiency pumps, thus contributing to the building's environmental efficiency.
Located in the Zona Barrio del Buceo, the tower is not only a first quality building considering international building standards but is also the tallest building in the city. With a height of 122 meters it was a special challenge to guaranteethe central isthema of ice water generation for feeding "fan-coils" type conditioners. The proposal that finally convinced the customer to provide a comprehensive solution consisting of: 30 pumps, 10 external frequency drives, 3 controllers and 22 Wilo diffusers. Gracias to the correct selection of pumps, it was possible to optimize the consumption of electrical energy.
"The World Trade Center is a green building, certified by LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), internationally recognized certification for sustainable buildings. Therefore, or notof our main requirements were to provide high efficiency pumps to ensure compliance with LEED criteria," says Facundo Rojo, Development Manager of Commercial Building Services, Wilo Argentina.
