Design
This submersible pump is designed for stationary and portable wet and stationary dry installations. The motors are designed for continuous duty.
Liquid
For pumping in commercial areas of:
- Untreated sewage
- Sewage containing faeces
- Process sewage
- Wastewater (with small amounts of sand and gravel)
Equipment/function
- Heavy-duty cast iron design.
- Sealing chamber to collect any leakage from the mechanical seal on the fluid side.

Construction
Hydraulics
Discharge port with a horizontal flange connection. The maximum dry solids content is 8 % for vortex, single-channel, and two-channel impellers. For three-channel and four-channel impellers is the maximum dry solids content is 5 %. The follow impeller types are available:
- Vortex impeller
- Single-channel impeller
- Multi-channel impeller
T motor
Surface-cooled submersible motor without cooling system for wet installation. The housing parts transmit the waste heat of the motor directly to the fluid. The motor itself is dry. Permanently lubricated rolling bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends. Depending on the motor size and the motor power, the motors can be installed dry and operate in short-time duty.
FK motor
Self-cooling submersible motor with active cooling system for wet and dry installation. The cooling system is filled with white medical grade oil and is unpressurised. An impeller on the motor shaft continuously circulates the coolant. The cooling flange transmits the waste heat to the pumped fluid. Permanently lubricated roller bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends.
FKT motor
Self-cooling submersible motor with active cooling system for wet and dry installation. The cooling system is designed with a closed cooling circuit. The filled coolant is a mixture of water and glycol. An impeller driven by the motor shaft continuously circulates the coolant. The cooling system is unpressurised when cold. A built-in pressure relief valve limits the maximum operating pressure to 3 bar (43 psi). The cooling flange transmits the waste heat to the pumped fluid. Permanently lubricated roller bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends.
HC motor
Self-cooling submersible motor with active cooling system for wet and dry installation. The cooling system is designed with a closed and hermetically sealed cooling circuit. The filled coolant is a mixture of water and glycol. A magnetically driven impeller on the motor shaft continuously circulates the coolant. The cooling system is unpressurised when cold. A built-in pressure relief valve limits the maximum operating pressure to 3 bar (43 psi). The cooling flange transmits the waste heat to the pumped fluid. Permanently lubricated roller bearings are used for the motor bearings. The power cable is longitudinally watertight and has bare cable ends.
Seal
All motors have a sealing chamber. The sealing chamber collects any leakage from the fluid side mechanical seal. Fluid and motor side seals are available in the follow designs, depending on the motor type:
- Design H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
- Design G: Two independent mechanical seals
- Design K: Block seal cartridge with two independent mechanical seals
Operating fluids
All operating fluids are potentially biodegradable and not dangerous to the environment:
- White medical grade oil
- Water-glycol mixture (35 % glycol and 65 % water)
Motor efficiency classes (based on IEC 60034-30)
In addition to the standard motors, IE3 (Premium Efficiency) motors are also available. The IE3 motors are based on the same design as the standard motors. The motors are therefore identical in terms of equipment and function.
