The paltinum vision award and gold german brand award go to Dortmund.
Dortmund. Two of the highest authorities for corporate reporting and brand management award Wilo first places as its 2017 annual report was decorated with the ‘Platinum Award’ at the Vision Awards of the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP). In addition, the German Design Council honoured the employer branding of the Wilo Group with the Gold German Brand Award.
Excellent annual report – both traditionally and digitally
In the category of up to 10,000 employees and up to $10 billion in annual sales, this year’s annual report comes ahead of companies such as BASF, Intel, Pfizer or Gazprom. This is Wilo’s second consecutive platinum award for its annual report. “Our goal in the overall concept and implementation of our annual reports is the greatest possible transparency towards all internal and external stakeholders,” explains Wilo CEO Oliver Hermes. “With the topic ‘Smart Urban Areas. Intelligent. Networked. Liveable.’ we demonstrate future growth markets for our company.” In addition to the overall evaluation in platinum, the online presentation of the annual report received the Gold Digital Award.
Jury praise for holistic brand communication
The German Design Council awarded the Gold German Brand Award to Wilo for its employer brand concept. The traditional brand previously won gold in 2016 for its rejuvenated overall image. “We pursue a strong international brand positioning and, in this process, employer branding must not be left behind,” explains Oliver Hermes, CEO of the Wilo Group. “Our employees are the heart and soul of all business activities, which is why we attach great importance to our corporate culture and its conveying.” In its statement, the jury emphasised above all the holistic approach of Wilo’s brand management: “A visionary brand history is continued. Building on the ‘Wilo brings the future’ campaign, Wilo now also presents itself as a future-oriented employer.”
