Participation in two invitation-only events in Lebanon

Beirut, Lebanon, hosted a series of high-level German–Lebanese engagements in February 2026, bringing together senior political representatives and private-sector leaders to exchange views on economic cooperation and industrial development.
Reflecting the Group’s continued commitment to constructive dialogue and institutional engagement, Ayman Nassar, Managing Director of the Wilo Levant Platform, participated in two invitation-only events held in this context.
Dinner Discussion with CDU/CSU Parliamentary Delegation
On 5 February 2026, a closed-door dinner discussion was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Lebanon on the occasion of a visit by a CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group delegation from Germany.
The delegation was led by Jens Spahn, Chairman of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag, and included Mr. Jürgen Hardt, Mr. Paul Ziemiak, and Mr. Tijen Ataoğlu, Members of the German Bundestag.
The discussion was attended by Lebanon’s Minister of Industry, H.E Eng. Joe Issa El-Khoury, alongside representatives from the political, economic, and institutional spheres. Exchanges focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties, fostering industrial cooperation, and exploring pathways for long-term engagement amid evolving regional and global challenges.
Official Visit of the German Federal President
On 16 February 2026, this engagement was followed by a formal reception hosted by the German Embassy in Lebanon, held for the official visit of H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Mrs. Elke Büdenbender, to Lebanon.
The reception took place on board the FGS Sachsen-Anhalt at the Port of Beirut, in the presence of H.E. Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Lebanon and Mrs. Christina Stillfried.
