The diaphragm expansion tanks with replaceable diaphragms are perfectly suited for pressure boosting in accordance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV 2001). The tanks keep the pressure in the water piping network constant and prevent the pumps from being activated at a low flow rate.

The following standards and regulations apply to the entire series:

  • ACS-certified – drinking water approval for France
  • WRAS-certified – drinking water approval for the United Kingdom
  • Compliant with EN 13831 standard
  • Compliant with European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU
  • Threaded connections compliant with the ISO 228 and ISO 1092 standards
  • Compliant with REACH regulation and RoHS directive

Notice: A CE label and the identification number of the certifying body must be fitted to tanks with a capacity of 18.01 l or more.

  • Tank type: horizontal and vertical
  • Membrane material: Butyl+, Butyl and EPDM, depending on size
  • Temperature range: 0 °C to 70 °C
  • Operating pressure: 10, 16 or 25 bar
  • Tank coating:
    • Composition: Epoxy polyester
    • Colour: Wilo (PANTONE 334U)
  • Flange material:
    • Galvanised steel for up to 499 l
    • Painted steel for 500 l or more
  • Installation:
    • Tanks with a capacity between 2 and 35 l will be mounted directly next to the pipe.
    • Other versions must be mounted on the floor.

The inlet is guarded by a strainer. Tanks with a capacity of 100 l and more are equipped with a tie rod fitted to the upper part. The tie rod is bolted and delivered together with a brass fastener and a seal.
