42,000 kWh less consumption at St. Franziskus Hospital – all thanks to our Wilo-Stratos MAXO

The requirements for a hospital’s pumps can be summarised as follows: They simply must keep on working – reliably and safely like clockwork, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. “The key thing, of course, is to ensure smooth heat and water supply around the clock, but we also try to run the building as energy-efficiently as possible”, says Berthold Krellmann, regional manager of FAC‘T GmbH, which is responsible for facility management at St. Franziskus Hospital in Münster, Germany. For this reason, the hospital located at Hohenzollernring relied on a total of 41 Wilo-Stratos MAXO smart pumps to supply heat to the almost 80,000 square metre facility. With its innovative control modes, the pumps achieve maximum system efficiency, which results in electricity savings of almost 42,000 kilowatt hours per year.
This not only ensures that the almost 100,000 patients per year are continually cared for, but also guarantees maximum energy-efficient operation!

Energy costs reduced: Shanghai Pudong International Airport saves 40,000 kWh per year thanks to Wilo-Comfort COR-HELIX/IL

China’s second largest airport was able to almost halve its electricity costs in water supply by switching to a Wilo-Comfort COR-Helix system. For this purpose, the topping-up system for the constant cold water pressure was enhanced by a control system and coupled with the cooling system.

As a result of this conversion, which was executed in 2020, water supply and sewage disposal as well as pressure regulation can now be precisely monitored and controlled thanks to the high precision of the CCe switchgear.

“We are really delighted with this update to our system, which has already helped us to save 42% of energy. The transition worked smoothly thanks to the support of the Wilo service team”, states Mr Qin, manager of the hotel engineering department.

The investment will already pay off over the course of 2023 – and Pudong Airport will be “first class” in terms of energy efficiency!
