At Wilo, we develop products with a focus on safety, performance, and reliability to support customer and application requirements.

Testing at Our Expertise Centers

Our products are assessed in key areas including:

  • Safety: Testing with regard to relevant EMC requirements, low-voltage requirements, and other applicable standards.
  • Performance: Evaluation of ventilation, hydraulics, mechanical durability, and noise behaviour.
  • Reliability: Testing under demanding conditions, including pressure cycling, exposure to dirty water, and different ambient environments.

This testing approach supports the qualification of our pumps for demanding applications and helps verify performance and durability under defined conditions.

Application Integration Testing

At Wilo, we support the integration of our solutions into customer applications through testing and technical support.

Application-Specific Operational Testing

Using our technical expertise and test facilities, we carry out assessments to:

  • Provide operational data, including acoustic power levels, hydraulic performance, and other relevant parameters, summarised in an Identity Card.
  • Evaluate specific performance criteria, such as domestic hot water supply and other application-specific requirements.
  • Assess system controls with regard to communication protocols and functional interaction within the application.


This approach supports the evaluation of system performance, reliability, and integration under defined conditions.

HEAT PUMP APPLICATION

  • Heat pumps are gaining importance as heating markets move toward lower-emission solutions.
  • As a partner, Wilo supports customers in heat pump development projects and in the transition to this technology by providing solutions designed for performance, communication, and integration into heat pump systems.

External Certification

Our circulators and pumps have received certifications from independent testing and certification institutes such as VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik) and LCIE (Laboratoire Central des Industries Électriques).

These certifications confirm that the products have been assessed for compatibility with R290 refrigerant in the relevant application context. R290 is a refrigerant with a low global warming potential compared with many conventional refrigerants. The certified compatibility supports use in applications designed to address the specific technical and safety requirements associated with this refrigerant.
