How can I apply?

For data protection reasons, we only accept applications via our web portal. If you are under 16, we will require the consent of your parents or guardians. You can find a template parent/guardian consent form here:

Can I make an unsolicited application if I don’t find a relevant position in the job portal?

Yes. If you do not find a suitable position, you are welcome to make an unsolicited application. Please inform us in your application about what field you would like to work in and what area you are interested in being responsible for.

What does a strong application look like?

Your application should include your CV, certificates and references. You do not need to include a cover letter. Additional documents, such as internship confirmations and certificates, can be uploaded.

What do I have to observe when uploading documents in the web portal?

The total size of uploaded files may not exceed 5120 kB. Upload your files as PDFs whenever possible. We also accept the following formats: .bmp, .doc, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .msg, .odg, .odp, .ods, .odt, .pdf, .png, .rtf, .tif, .tiff, .text, .txt, .xls, .docx, .xlsx, .xlsm, .ppt, .pptx, .sxw and .wpd.

How can I prepare for my interview?

Think about what you can do, what your expectations are, where you want to go, and why you think that Wilo and the profession you’re aspiring are the right fit for you. Note down any questions you want to ask in the interview.

Can I apply for multiple jobs at different locations?

Yes. You are welcome to apply more than once if multiple job postings interest you.

Can I apply again at Wilo even if my application was rejected?

Yes. You can apply for any job at Wilo, regardless of whether a previous application has been turned down.

Who can see the applicant data?

Your data can only be seen by the recruiting team and those responsible at the relevant department. Of course, we adhere to all of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

How long will Wilo save my application and my personal data?

When you send us your application, we save your data for a period of six months after the application process has ended. After this, all of your data is erased.

Do I have to fulfil certain requirements for an internship and student employment position?

You should demonstrate a keen interest in the relevant area, enjoy challenges, be flexible and like working in teams. Good professional knowledge, a solid understanding of common software and English proficiency are required. Specific requirements can be found in the job description for each vacancy.

Is there a minimum duration for an internship or student employment position?

To gain a comprehensive insight, you should plan for an internship period of at least three to six months. We would be happy to work with you as a student employee over a longer term (approx. 1-2 years).

• What deadlines do I have to observe when applying for apprenticeships, dual study programmes, undergraduate internships or a dissertation position?

For an apprenticeship or dual study programme, you should apply approximately twelve months before you want to start. The application deadline is 31 October of the previous year. If you wish to complete an undergraduate internship during the semester break, please apply for a placement by 15 November (February – April semester break) or by 15 April for (July – September semester break). Please apply to Wilo at least three months before the planned start of your dissertation. Inform your supervisors of your plans early on.

How much will I earn during my apprenticeship, dual study programme, dissertation position or internship?

The pay will be based on the metal and electrical industry collective wage agreement or the WILO SE company agreement. The on-site contact will be happy to provide you with information on the relevant current remuneration level.
