Ausbildung und duales Studium - FAQ

HOW DO I APPLY FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP, DUAL COURSE OF STUDY OR SCHOOL INTERNSHIP?

You can submit your application via our online portal.

If you are under 16, we will require the consent of your parents or guardians. You can find a template parent/guardian consent form here

WHAT APPLICATION DEADLINES APPLY?

For an apprenticeship or dual course of study, you should apply approximately twelve months before you want to start. The application closing date is 31 October of the previous year.

WHAT DOES A STRONG APPLICATION CONTAIN?

When submitting an application, you must ensure that it is complete, i.e. that it contains all of your documents. It must also include a compelling cover letter, a complete tabular CV, your last two school reports/certificates and, if applicable, proof of previous internships and other certificates.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO HEAR BACK?

You will be given confirmation of receipt shortly after applying to inform you that we have received your documents. Invitations to recruitment tests are sent out after the autumn school holidays at the earliest.

WHAT FORM DOES THE SELECTION PROCESS TAKE?

After reviewing your application documents, we narrow down the field to the suitable candidates. We then invite these candidates to an interview with training instructors or training managers. Furthermore, we have developed a recruitment test for you. An Apprentice Assessment Centre will also be held at some sites. This helps us to work out whether you are the right fit for our company on the basis of practice tasks.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY JOB INTERVIEW?

If we invite you to an interview, you have already cleared the first hurdle: we were impressed with your profile and we would like to get to know you better! Speak authentically and be yourself – don’t try to be someone you are not. Take the opportunity to find out whether we, and the profession, are the right fit for you.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY INTERVIEW?

Think about what you can do, what your expectations are, where you want to go, and why you think that Wilo and the profession you’re aspiring are the right fit for you. Note down any questions you want to ask in the interview.

HOW MUCH WILL I EARN?

The pay will be based on the metal and electrical industry collective wage agreement or the WILO SE company agreement. An on-site contact will be happy to provide you with information on the relevant current remuneration level.
