Hydrogen innovation at Hannover Messe
Wilo presents the H2POWERPLANT from 17 to 21 April at the world’s leading trade fair for industry.
Dortmund/Hannover. From 17 to 21 April, industry representatives from all around the world will gather at Hannover Messe. Wilo will also be represented with a booth at the world’s leading trade fair for industry. The multinational technology company will present visitors the H2POWERPLANT, Wilo’s hydrogen system solution.
“Vital contribution to climate action and sustainability”
“Whether in industry, transport or the heating sector, our society needs green energy in all areas of life”, explains Oliver Hermes, President & CEO of the Wilo Group. “With this solution, we are creating the basis for a self-sufficient, decentralised and regenerative energy supply network and showing how industrial companies can make a vital contribution to climate action and sustainability with forward-looking solutions that are open to different technologies.”
The H2POWERPLANT uses electrolysis to convert solar, wind and hydropower into green hydrogen. If required, a fuel cell can then be used to convert the hydrogen back into electrical energy. Waste heat is either used in the interconnected system for heating or stored or converted into cooling on site. The first H2POWERPLANT was built last year as a pilot plant at Wilopark, the Wilo Group’s company headquarters. The plant can store up to 520 kilograms of hydrogen in a 29.8 metre long tank.
The Wilo booth is located in Hall 12, Booth F72.
