Industry meeting in tune with the times
Dortmund/Frankfurt. From 13 to 17 March, international experts in the HVAC industry met in Frankfurt am Main for the ISH – the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC and water. The Wilo Group was among the more than 2000 exhibitors from 54 countries. At its approximately 800-square-metre booth, experts from the multinational technology group presented solutions to increased environmental requirements put on the industry as well as for easy commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Klara Geywitz and Tarek Al-Wazir at the Wilo booth
Numerous trade fair visitors came to find out about Wilo’s pumps and system solutions over a five-day period – including Klara Geywitz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Building, and Tarek Al-Wazir, Hessen’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing. Wilo was one of only four manufacturers the politicians visited at the ISH. In conversation with Oliver Hermes, President & CEO of the Wilo Group, and CTO Georg Weber, they exchanged views on Wilo’s response to the energy transition.
“The energy transition can only be mastered with technological innovations. We are convinced of that”, Hermes explained. “Wilo has always been a pioneer in energy efficiency and traditionally an innovation leader in the industry. At the ISH, we were able to show the general public why. Now it’s time for the politicians to create a suitable legal framework for innovations like our H2POWERPLANT. This is the only way we can shape the future of energy supply together.”
Solutions for modern building management
ISH visitors were able to experience the H2POWERPLANT hydrogen system developed by Wilo with its technology partners Schneider Electric, Enapter and Proton Motor. The technical solutions presented by Wilo in Frankfurt to face the challenges of modern building management included the intelligently networked inline glanded pump Wilo-Stratos GIGA2.0-I, the drinking water circulation system Wilo-SiFresh with continuous temperature monitoring, and the modular lifting unit Wilo-DrainLift SANI CUT-S with its integrated macerator.
“The feedback showed that we are in tune with the times with our pumps and system solutions,” says Torsten Grüter, Sales Manager Germany at Wilo. “Before the trade fair, we hoped to be able to convince many customers, partners and interested parties about our products and services at the ISH. These hopes were exceeded. We are delighted to have had five successful days!”
