Kazakh Ambassador Visits Wilo
Exchange on the Eurasian Economic Union and Cooperation with German Companies
As part of his trip to Germany, the Kazakh Ambassador, Däuren Aitbajuly Käripow, visited the headquarters of Wilo in Dortmund. The diplomat was appointed to his position in June of this year and aims to further expand and deepen cooperation with regions such as the Ruhr area. On this occasion, Käripow congratulated Oliver Hermes, Chairman and CEO of the Wilo Group, on his appointment as Chairman of the Eastern Committee - Eastern Europe Association (OAOEV).
In a conversation with the Kazakh Ambassador, Oliver Hermes emphasized the growing importance of the Central Asian economic region for the German economy as well as for his company: "The Wilo Group has been successful in Kazakhstan for 20 years. The established platform concept there underscores the increased commitment of the Wilo Group in emerging markets."
At the conclusion of his visit, Däuren Aitbajuly Käripow personally gained an impression of the production according to Industry 4.0 standards in the new Smart Factory. After the tour, the Kazakh Ambassador was deeply impressed by the largest investment project in Wilo's almost 150-year history.
