Oliver Hermes in Handelsblatt: "Forward-looking companies will question their strategies“
Oliver Hermes, President and CEO of the Wilo Group, is convinced that the Corona crisis will change the old world of globally interconnected value creation. In an interview with Handelsblatt, one of Germany's highest-circulation national daily newspapers, the Wilo boss spoke about the lessons learned by the Wilo Group from the Corona crisis.
Oliver Hermes emphasises: "Forward-looking companies will question their strategies. Risk aspects will become much more important. We want to remain an independent group, and this also means that we must not be dependent on individual customers or suppliers".
To this end, supply chains and production processes will in future be organised more regionally, in the three economic centres of Europe, Asia and the USA. "This will lead to more resilience, but this will certainly also be at the expense of profitability and return on investment," Oliver Hermes explained in an interview with Handelsblatt.
