REACH
The REACH Regulation (1907/2004/EC) stand for “Registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals” entered into force on 1 June 2007 and aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) publishes twice a year an update of the Candidate List of substances of very high concern (SVHC) for Authorisation on its Website. Suppliers of articles, which contain substances of the SVHC Candidate List in a concentration above 0.1% w/w, have to provide information to their customers.
ECHA regularly assesses the substances from the Candidate List to decide, which ones should be included in Annex XIV of REACH regulation (Authorisation list). Substances of the Authorisation list cannot be produced, used or placed on the market after a specified sunset date, unless the use has been authorised or is exempted from authorisation.
Additional to that any hazardous substance can be included in Annex XVII of REACH (Substances restricted under REACH). Annex XVII contains substances for which certain use is limited or forbidden in the European Union.

RoHS:
The RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) stands for “Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment”, entered into force on 21 July 2011, and aims to improve the protection of the environment through an improved recycling management.
Delegated Directives regularly amend the Annexes of the RoHS Directive, such as modification of the list of restricted substances (Annex II) or dealing with exemptions renewal (Annex III and IV).

Conflict Minerals
The term "conflict minerals" is defined as columbite-tantalite, also known as coltan (from which tantalum is derived); cassiterite (tin); gold; wolframite (tungsten); or their derivatives; or any other mineral or its derivatives determined by the Secretary of State to be financing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country.
These are also referenced as 3TG (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold).

D-U-N-S
The Data Universal Numbering System, abbreviated as DUNS or D-U-N-S, is a proprietary system developed and regulated by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) that assigns a unique numeric identifier, referred to as a "DUNS number" to a single business entity. It was introduced in 1963 to support D&B's credit reporting practice. It is a common standard worldwide. DUNS users include the European Commission, the United Nations, and the United States government. More than 50 global, industry, and trade associations recognize, recommend, or require DUNS. The DUNS database contains over 220 million entries for businesses throughout the world.
