IN THE FACE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Dortmund/Noginsk. In these times, solidarity within society is more important than ever. Today it is particularly important to maintain activities that benefit the public and support state public services.

In this situation, WILO RUS as one of the leading companies in the industry, which is included in the list of strategic enterprises in Russia, cannot stand aside from joint efforts and actions aimed at combating COVID-19. The management of the company made a decision to donate and financially assist in the acquisition of urgently needed medical equipment for a district hospital in Noginsk, a city in the Moscow region.

Wilo is an internationally operating company with headquarters in Dortmund and around 8,000 employees worldwide. Oliver Hermes, President and CEO of the Wilo Group, explains the company’s commitment in Russia: “We have been successfully active in Russia for more than 20 years and opened a production site in Noginsk in 2016. Today, more than 250 employees work there and live both on the territory of Noginsk and in nearby settlements. This is the reason why we, as a socially responsible company, decided to provide gratuitous assistance to the central regional hospital in Noginsk. This project highlights the connection between regional solidarity and transnational cooperation. This is what we stand for as a company.”

Jens Dallendörfer, Senior Vice President Sales Region Emerging Markets & General Director of Wilo RUS, emphasizes. “We are proud to make a concrete contribution to ensure the supply of important medical equipment and to be part in joint efforts and actions aimed at battling COVID-19. On this occasion, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our committed employees in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus who stayed on duty during these challenging times, thereby enabling to keep critical infrastructures running with our products and solutions.”
