Wilo employees in Dortmund receive first dose of vaccination
First vaccination offer for employees in priority groups two and three
In just two weeks since the vaccination center was set up at WiloPark, all 570 "willing to be vaccinated" employees at Wilo have been provided with a first vaccination offer. "The health of our colleagues worldwide has always been of the highest priority, not only since the beginning of the pandemic," explains Oliver Hermes, CEO and Chairman of the Wilo Group. In line with this, an in-house vaccination campaign was planned early on. "We have always followed a 'go-ahead' approach, which includes the vaccination management initiated by the executive board in December."
Progress in vaccination status internationally
Significant progress in vaccination status can also be observed at Wilo's international locations. "Vaccination campaigns have been launched or voluntary employees have already received their first dose not only at Wilo's German locations in Dortmund, Hof, and Oschersleben, but also in Russia, China, and South Korea. In India, we are facilitating the vaccination of our workforce through a collaboration with local hospitals," says Oliver Hermes.
Particularly in Germany, the "record time" in vaccination progress is even more astonishing, as initially, there was not expected to be an allocation of vaccines in larger quantities. In the initial phase, it was mentioned that each company would receive twelve vaccine doses per week. In reality, an average of 285 doses has been provided in the past two weeks, which is 23 times the originally announced quantity.
