Review of the Industry Conference 2021
Judging by the numerous responses from guests to this year's Wilo Industry Conference on the topic of "Decoupling - Rethink Value Chains”, the event largely exceeded expectations - in a positive sense. More than 150 high-ranking guests from science, business and politics came together live or digitally at the Wilopark in Dortmund, among them Sigmar Gabriel, former Vice-Chancellor of Germany and Chairman of Atlantik-Brücke e.V.. In addition to decoupling - the politically motivated decoupling of global developments - as the overarching theme, the talks focused primarily on the currently prevailing semiconductor crisis. Among other things, there was agreement that globally active companies must invest in more resilient supply and value chains. The event took place on September 9, 2021.
