Job Title: Service Engineer
Location: Field based - South
Report to: National Service Engineering Manager
Role Summary: Report directly to the National Service Engineering Manager and collaborate with a team of colleagues in the Service and Technical Support Department. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that repair, service, and maintenance work is carried out according to Wilo specifications, meeting the customer's requirements and expectations. You will also be responsible for effectively coordinating service operations from a designated home base. Building strong working relationships with other Wilo staff members is essential in this role. Additionally, it is important to have a good understanding of the UK and wider Wilo organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Conduct visible and technical assessments of breakdowns and necessary tasks
- Complete documentation after each task
- Perform written schemes of examination on pressure vessels
- Issue site-specific risk assessments and method statements to clients
- Provide on-site quotations whenever possible
- Carry out commissioning and warranty procedures for required products
- Maintain personal health and safety, as well as ensuring the safety of fellow employees
- Participate in multi-skilling programs to expand individual skills and experience, and enhance flexibility for service operations
- Provide technical advice to clients or seek further advice and personally communicate the information back to the client
- Participate in multi-skilling training programs and attend necessary courses to meet Wilo's development requirements.
- To be available for out of hours call outs facility and to be flexible in the support of engineers in other areas, this could involve working away from home at certain periods
