Wilo UK – a leading manufacturer of water pumps and pump systems – and the Environment Agency have won the Environmental Contribution of the Year accolade at the 2020/21 Pump Industry Awards. Wilo and the Environment Agency (EA) were recognised for their collaboration on the innovative River Severn Water Management Scheme.

Reliable supply plays a central role in building services, especially in big buildings, where large volume flows sometimes have to be transported with high delivery heads to provide the heating and cooling capacity.

Electricity plays a fundamental role in the development of the sub-Saharan Africa region: water treatment, cooling chains, electricity, internet - and all of it seamlessly and securely. The social enterprise Africa GreenTec is now taking a big step in this direction by introducing so-called ImpactSites. Colleagues at Wilo UK, a leading manufacturer of water pumps and pump systems, have raised £8,377 for Maggie’s cancer support centre in Nottingham, after taking part in a five-day cycling challenge that saw the team collectively cycle over 1,700 miles.

From 7th – 11th June, our Wilo colleagues embarked on a 1,700 mile virtual cycling journey from our UK HQ in Staffordshire all the way to Wilopark in Dortmund, Germany. And, as you can see here, what an incredible journey it was!

The event was all in support of Maggies Cancer Care Centres, a charity dedicated to providing support to patients and their families.

The Wilo Group looks back at a successful financial year 2019 and records its tenth successive year of record sales. With effect from 1 January 2020, WILO SE is expanding its Executive Board and appointing Dr. Patrick Niehr as a new member. With a view to continuing the successful work of the top management, the President & CEO, Oliver Hermes, had already his contract renewed in June ahead of time until 30 June 2025. Board members Mathias Weyers (CFO) and Georg Weber (CTO) have also had their contracts renewed ahead of time until 31 December 2024

Oliver Hermes (48) is taking on leadership of the German Eastern Business Association (OAOEV) with immediate effect. On Thursday 20th June Anglian Water hosted their 14th annual Regatta held at Rutland Water, raising money to help the Beacon Project, a charity delivering safe, clean drinking water and sanitation to the people of Lahan, in Nepal.
