Compact rainwater utilisation system compliant with DIN 1989-100 and DIN EN 16941-1 with flexible manifold on the discharge side to save drinking water. Made up of two non-self-priming, horizontal, high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps from the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP series (pressure-boosting pumps) and feeding pumps (ordered separately) in the rainwater storage tank (see Wilo-Padus UNI or Wilo-Sub TWI series, for example). Mounted on a baseplate with height-adjustable feet, ready for connection, including control device for convenient system control.

  • Fully automated rainwater utilisation or fresh water replenishment in case of drought in large commercial or industrial buildings.

Equipment/function

  • Two high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps from the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP series with IE2/IE3 motor technology (IE2: up to 0.75 kW, IE3: from 0.75 kW)
  • Baseplate in a vibration-insulated design with height-adjustable pedestal
  • Two-way valve allows automatic switchover to drinking water replenishment in case of a lack of rainwater in the storage tank
  • Replenishment reservoir (volume: 400 litres) functions as a hybrid tank with overflow conforming to EN 1717 (free drain type AA) to pump rainwater and demand-oriented replenishment of fresh water when rainwater storage tank is empty
  • Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank (volume: 8 litres) conforming to DIN 4807 for energy savings if there are very small leaks in the building
  • Filling level sensor with 1.5 m cable (measurement range 0 to 5 m) allows the amount of water in the hybrid tank to be detected
  • All parts that come into contact with the fluid are corrosion-proof

Automatic pump control with fully electronic EC-Rain control device (Easy Control) in metal housing, protection class IP54. Ready for connection as electronics and hydraulics are already hooked up. Mounted on an anti-corrosive painted tubular steel structure.

A working area of 60 cm around the system is recommended in order to facilitate the maintenance process.

  • Two separate LED displays (1 EC(e) booster printed circuit board to control up to two feeding pumps (rainwater storage tank pumps), 1 EC-Rain printed circuit board to control the high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump of the Wilo-Medana CH1-L series) show operating data, controller parameters, operating statuses of the pumps, error messages and history memory
  • Menu navigation with seven-segment display and visualisation
  • Factory-preset parameters for easy commissioning/start
  • Setting of operating parameters and acknowledgement of fault messages using rotary knob

  • Testing and adaptation of initial compressing of pressure tanks (filling up to 80 litres incl.)
