Membrane filter LFM 20-12-3

Submerged filter modules for membrane bioreactors

Compared to conventional activated sludge plants, a combination of activated sludge technology and an innovative membrane process has major advantages. The membrane filters are placed directly in the aeration tank or in downstream filtration chambers and ensure reliable retention of activated sludge, bacteria and viruses. A conventional secondary clarifier is therefore no longer necessary.

The compact and robust design means that less space is required. With reliable operation, excellent effluent quality is achieved, and the filtrate can be reused as process water, for example. Due to its defined pore size (< 0.1 µm), the ultrafiltration membrane used in wastewater treatment physically separates the smallest particles, including colloids, from liquids. The membrane retains these substances without changing them physically or chemically.

Your advantages

  • Modular system solution for individual requirements
  • Long lifetime thanks to a robust design and material
  • locking welding of the membrane
  • High cleaning performance with a nominal pore size of 35 nm
  • Retention of bacteria and viruses
  • Low space requirement
  • Treated water can be reused
