The first large-scale carbon-free data center

In March 2022, the Three Gorges Dongyuemiao Data Centre in Yichang, Hubei Province, was opened after a year of construction. The data center covers 100,000 square meters and is expected to become the largest data center in central China after the completion of all three phases.

In the first phase, 4,400 racks were built on an area of 40,000 square meters. The data center consumes more than 200 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which is generated exclusively from clean hydropower and cooled by a water cooling system.
